“Whatever you want it’s yours, princess. Your father and I are in full agreement there,” he promised, leaving her content to snuggle in his hold until his friends finally left.

She didn’t argue in the least when he carried her straight up to the bedroom, laying her out on their bed before stripping her, piece by piece, kiss by kiss.

“What do you want,” Jasper said, his lips hovering over hers, his body hovering over hers.

“You, inside me, now,” she moaned, lifting up to brush against him.

“Not until you tell me what you want for the wedding.”

She wanted to scream, her body begging for more, for him. Instead, she lifted her lips to his, kissing him fully until they were both dragging in ragged breaths. “I want you as mine, entirely mine, soon.”

“How soon? I will take you to the courthouse tomorrow if you want me to, princess. I’d gladly do that, Missy.”

“May, the twentieth,” she said, her body warming when his brow lifted, a smile in his eyes. “That would give us a week or so for a honeymoon, then still plenty of time to get the rest of the company picnic handled.”

“Try two weeks at least for a honeymoon, where I can finally guarantee some alone time with you,” he teased, sinking into her inch by inch, making her shiver entirely.

“Promise?”

“Promise,” he whispered into her ear as he gathered her closer, letting her feel every inch of his body as she wrapped tightly around him. She claimed his mouth with hers, needing more, and as his body rocked into hers, nothing could stop her from flying into the stars again and again until the sweetest darkness pulled her down.

She woke to him quietly slipping out of the bed and let out a soft sigh, watching his naked backside head across the room.

“Keep looking at me like that and I won’t begin to be able to head by the office. I’ll keep you right there where you are, princess.”

Melissa let the sheet dip lower, grinning when he began to stalk back towards her. His phone trilling slowed his feet, and she laughed softly when the debate of whether or not to answer warred in his eyes. “Who is it?”

“My mother,” he said, and she nodded, crooking her finger at him as he answered.

“Yes, Missy’s right here,” he stated sliding up along her body, making her hold back a moan as he joined her on the bed.

He handed the phone over with a wicked grin, before lowering his mouth to her neck, kissing his way down her body. She could barely concentrate on what his mother was saying but managed to get out a few replies before Evelyn said she’d call her later that afternoon to let her know when they’d be back in town.

It all went straight over her head as Jasper’s tongue delved into her, his finger teasing her clit. The phone slid out of her hand as she came hard, letting out a full shout when Jasper filled her with a single thrust. It was muffled by his lips claiming hers and she took his straight back, her fingers delving into his hair, holding onto his head, not wanting him to move one inch away from her.

Every bit of her tingled as she came down, resting in his hold with a smile on her lips. She could feel his smile against her temple and let out a content sigh, and his arms tightened further around her, making it simply deepen.

“May twentieth, you’re sure on that still,” he said bringing her gaze up to his and she nodded, loving the heat that flared in his eyes. “I’ll have Elaine block the days before it and the two weeks after entirely. Will a week in Seattle before the company party be enough or should I have her block further for the end of June as well?”

“A week is more than enough. Most of the things I can do over the phone or online. You don’t have to come out the entire time though,” she added biting her tongue to stop from smiling fully as his eyes flared with mingled anger and disbelief.

“I don’t intend to be away from you any longer than I have to, Missy. Your father may have been fine taking business trips without your mother, but I won’t be doing that unless absolutely necessary. I want to spend every moment possible with you and I don’t see that changing so you’d better get used to it, princess,” he warned, and she couldn’t stop the smile this time. “You like that? Like knowing I can’t begin to think of being away from you for more than a few hours without feeling like I’ll lose my mind?”

“I do. I really do,” she admitted, not complaining in the least when he didn’t leave the house, or bedroom, until after lunch to go into the office.

Chapter 15

Melissa let out a quick sigh of relief when she spotted Keith hurrying towards her. His eyes weren’t panicked as hers were, but she didn’t hear anything until they were at the hospital and her eyes fell onto Jasper, grumbling as the doctor told him to lie back down.

“Jasper,” she cried out, her heart in her throat seeing the blood splattered all over the front of his shirt.

“Missy, princess, I’m fine,” he said, holding out a hand to her as he let the doctor push him back into a reclined position.

“You’re fine? You’re covered in blood!” she said, her eyes frantically sliding over him, spotting the gash on his forehead, but there didn’t appear to be any other injuries she noted, as her gaze flew over to the doctors.

“It’s not all mine,” Jasper admitted when they avoided her gaze and turned their attention back to him instead.

“What happened? All Elaine said was there’d been an accident and that you were at the hospital,” Melissa said, her fingers tightening around his hand, and her heart fluttered wildly when he lifted it, palm side up to his lips and pressed a kiss to it.
