He smothers my mouth with a kiss as I grind my hips down, feeling him deep within me. Viktor helps me find a good pace, and then we’re off, fucking, breathing heavily, clawing at each other. It’s wild in the best way possible. Things between Viktor and me are pure lust. I’m not sure if it’ll ever be anything different, and at this moment, I don’t care.
Viktor nips at my throat. I hiss when he bites hard, drawing blood. My hands claw into the back of his head, my fingers tangling into his hair.
“Viktor,” I cry out as I circle my hips faster. In this new position, his erection brushes that sweet spot within me, pulsing more pleasure over my entire body. “Oh! Oh my god.”
He growls against my neck and grips my hips tighter, pulling me down harder onto him. We’re fucking like animals, with wild oblivion, pure passion, utter desire.
I come hard. “Viktor!” I bury my face into the crook of his neck. Viktor groans as he comes, filling me up. It dawns on me that we’ve never used protection. I’ve been so caught up in … everything that I didn’t think about it.
Now, it makes me tense as I get off him and lie down on the bed, pulling my dress back down.
Viktor frowns. “You ok?”
“You weren’t wearing a condom.”
“I know.”
“You’ve never worn one.”
“I thought that was obvious.”
I swat his arm, making him sit back. “Viktor, I could get pregnant! I’m not ready for a baby. Are you?”
He shrugs, acting way too nonchalantly for my taste. “A baby could be fun.”
“You? Mr. Murder-Anyone-Who-Gets-In-My-Way. The man who uses guns to solve any problem. You’dbe ok with a baby?”
He flops down beside me, his hand reaching out to cover my stomach. “I don’t know. Having a family could be nice.”
I stare at him. “What have you done with the Viktor I know?”
He chuckles. “He’s still right here. But the more I get to know you, the more I think domesticity isn’t so bad.”
My heart begins to pound for reasons I don’t quite understand. Viktor runs his hand over my stomach, keeping silent. I touch the side of his head. “I don’t get you.”
“That’s because there’s still a lot more to learn about me.”
I sigh and sit up, pulling away from him. “Well, if we’re on the topic of family … I’d like to see my family again.”
“I was wondering when you’d ask for that.”
“Well, now, I am. So?”
He pauses. “I’ll let you call someone.” I perk up. “Oneperson.” I deflate. “Just one. Make it count.” He tosses me his phone.
My mind is racing. There are so many people I could call. But there’s really only one I want to talk to. I dial the number. Viktor stands up, giving me some space.
After the third ring, she picks up. “Hello?”
“Mom?”
She’s silent on the other end for a moment. “Gemma? Is that you?”
“It is.” I glance at Viktor, who’s watching me curiously. I turn away from him. “It’s me, Mom.”
“Oh my god. Gemma. You’re alive. You’re ok. I was so scared. I’ve been crying every night since you were taken.”
I blink. “Wait. You’ve … been crying over me?”
