“Oh, good idea,” Harriet said. “I’ll send that out now. Okay, sleepyhead. Get back to sleep. I’ll see you later.”
“Uh-huh,” I said, hanging up the phone. I sighed as I jumped out of the bed and headed toward the kitchen so I could make a cup of coffee. I was up now, and I knew that if I tried to fall back asleep again, I’d get a headache and feel like shit for the rest of the day.
I heard my phone beeping and didn’t bother looking at it. I knew that it was just Harriet texting everyone about brunch. I didn’t care where we went, so I’d let them figure it all out first. I opened the fridge and grabbed the carton of milk and then looked for a mug. I turned on the kettle and grabbed the bottle of instant coffee from the cupboard. As I waited for the water to boil, I thought about Travis. Was he going to be the man I ended up losing my virginity to? It felt weird thinking about finally having sex for the first time.
I’d spent so many years thinking Jacob would be my first. So many years hanging out with him and his brothers. We’d almost become an integrated family. His brothers and my sisters had become friends as well. We’d all hung out all the time, and then Jacob had cheated on me and all of our relationships had broken up. Not that I missed any of them. As far as I was concerned, all of the Andretti brothers were big assholes.
The phone beeped again at the same time that the kettle whistled to let me know the water had boiled. I scooped out some of the coffee granules into the cup and looked down at my phone screen. My heart thudded as I saw that Travis had texted me.
“Morning, sexy.”I licked my lips at his message. I didn’t know if I should respond right away or leave him waiting. I didn’t want to appear too eager, even though I’d been the one to message him first. I poured the hot water into the mug and then added some milk and sugar and stirred. Another text came in.
“I was so happy to hear from you last night. If I’m honest, I’ve been thinking about you for a while.”My jaw dropped at his text. It was sure sounding like Travis was really into me.
“Was it because of the skinny dipping?”I sent back, unable to stop myself.
“What skinny dipping?”
“The thought of us skinny dipping together.”
“That would be hot.”
“Super hot.”
“I just don’t know how this can work, though. I don’t want anyone to get hurt or upset.”
“We can just go slow.”I thought of my sisters and glared into the air. They had really tried to ruin this for me.
“Yeah…”I frowned as I stared at the screen. Was this going to be over before it even started? I felt saddened at the thought. “We can just chat at first and then…”
“And then what?”I typed back quickly and added a smiley emoticon.
“What do you want?”I stared at the text on the screen, and I didn’t know what to say. I could barely say I wanted him to be my first.
“We’ll see,”I typed, not wanting to play all my cards right away.“Anyway, I’m hopping in the shower now.”
“Wish I could help you get clean…with my tongue.”My eyes widened at his text.
“Me too.”I headed to the bathroom and pulled my panties off. I took a quick photo of the panties on the floor and sent them to him.“A little treat.”
“Fuck…and with that, I have to go take care of some business. ;).”I laughed at his text and tried to think of Travis playing with himself while looking at my photo. I was treading into dangerous territory already. I put my phone down on the countertop and stared at myself in the mirror. I was a bad girl. A really bad girl. I wasn’t sure where this was going, but I knew I was going to have fun on the journey.

“So what happened last night?”Lily whispered into my ear as we made our way to the table. I winked at her quickly and then pressed a finger to my lips. There was no way I could let my sisters know that Travis and I were sexting. They would kill me.
“Did you go home with Andrew?” Natasha asked Lily as we all took a seat. “I thought I saw you guys leaving together, but then I thought I must have imagined it.”
“No.” Lily giggled. “I did go home with Andrew last night.”
“No way.” Polly looked shocked. “Andrew from the firm?” She made a face at Natasha and then apologized. “Sorry, he just seemed like a bit of a douchebag.”
“He’s not that bad,” Lily said, smiling shyly. “I mean, he’s not my ideal man or anything, and he talks about himself and where he’s going in his career a lot, but…”
“Lily,” I interrupted. “Let’s get the answer to the big question. How was the sex?” I paused as a waitress approached the table with a stack of menus. She took our drink orders and then walked away. “Spill…was it good or forgettable?”
“Uhm…” She blushed slightly, and I cocked my head to the side. “It was a little crazy.”
“What do you mean by crazy?” Natasha asked the question I’d been about to ask.
