I turned my face into her hand and kissed her palm.
“I’ll burn it for you, Tinkerbell, as long as you’ll be my fairy queen.”
“I’ll strike the match, you carry the flame and we’ll burn it together.”
I took her hand and laced our fingers together, leaning closer until our noses brushed against each other.
“Deal.”
She smiled, but before I could kiss her, a loud noise from downstairs followed by an angry voice startled the both of us.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing in my fucking house?”

Ari scrambled off me at the sound of her father’s voice, her eyes wide and her body tense. She got to her feet and stared down at me with concern.
“I didn’t think he’d be home early.”
I stood up, took her hand and pulled her out of her room with me. Arlo shouldn’t have to deal with a pissed off Bennett. This was my responsibility. I’d come here to see his daughter. If he was going to be angry at anyone, it should be me.
“We did get carried away,” I murmured as we made our way downstairs, knowing more time had gone by than either of us had expected.
“So worth it.”
I couldn’t deny it. Having Ari take all my fingers and my cock at the same time had been magnificent to watch. She was such a good girl for me. I didn’t have time to be thinking about it when we had a situation to deal with. Didn’t matter if I wanted to replay the ecstasy on her face over and over. And when she told me she loved me again. Fuck, it brought on a whole other set of emotions I couldn’t process.
We found Bennett and Arlo in the kitchen. Arlo didn’t look fazed at the knife in his face. Wasn’t the first time someone had threatened him. Wouldn’t be the last. It was part and parcel of being my right-hand man.
“Dad! What are you doing? Put the knife down,” Ari all but yelled, letting go of my hand and storming over to her father. “He is not a threat to you.”
Bennett turned to her.
“You let him in my house?”
Then he saw me and he visibly stiffened. He lowered his knife and stepped back. Bennett wouldn’t fuck with me or my men. He knew better. I wasn’t someone you played games with.
“You.”
I waved a hand.
“Mmm, yes, me. I’m here to see her, not cause trouble.”
He turned his attention to his daughter.
“You didn’t tell me.”
She crossed her arms over her chest.
“I didn’t know he was coming, Dad, or I would have. You going to stand there and tell me I’m not allowed to see my boyfriend in my own home?”
Bennett stepped closer to her while keeping an eye on me. I tried not to smile at her calling me that to his face like she was proud I was hers.
“I can’t have him here. My crew don’t know I’m in business with the mafia, you feel me?”
Ari let out a huff.
