I shake my head and nearly vomit. “I would rather do it this way… the thought of drinking directly from a human… I’m not comfortable with it yet.”
Gabriel nods, then he points to the pulse in his neck. “Sink your fangs in here,” he instructs me.
I’m about to ask him how to pop my fangs out as he does when I feel a painful pull at my gums and my tongue scapes against a sharp canine. Oh my God, I’m really a fucking vampire!
Closing my eyes, I do as he instructed and ready myself to gag at the taste of the blood, but the nausea doesn’t come. My eyes widen when I realize that Gabriel’s blood tastes amazing and I moan while pulling him closer to me, needing more.
“Fuck,” he groans and his hand goes to my head, while the other slips into my shorts.
He puts two fingers inside of me as I’m still drinking from him, then spreads my wetness against my folds and clit, rubbing it in a circular motion until I eventually cry out my release. I let go of him, trying to catch my breath from that intense orgasm and the taste of his blood.
Cupping my face in his hands, he looks at me and swipes the blood dripping from the corner of my mouth with his thumb.
“You have no idea how fucking gorgeous you look while consumed with bloodlust,” he purrs, capturing my mouth in a bloody kiss.
Everything feels heightened and new, even this kiss could make me orgasm as his soft tongue plays with mine. His skin feels softer than before, his scent more intoxicating, and my chest could explode at what I feel for him.
Gabriel breaks off the kiss and closes his eyes as he draws his forehead to mine. “I love you,” he says, and that feeling intensifies.
“I love you too, so fucking much and I have no idea why I’m crying right now!” I say, mortified that just telling him I love him makes me feel this way.
He chuckles and wipes my tears again. “You’re a newborn, my love. Everything you felt before is magnified now and it will take a few months for it to taper off. We need to teach you to control your bloodlust too, but the way you easily stopped drinking from me and didn’t go into a frenzy, I’d say you’re fine with that.”
I shake my head. “What if I have human blood? You’re a vampire and your blood is different.”
“Ah, but that’s where you’re wrong. The blood of your Fated is infinitely more intoxicating than a human’s. Although the blood of a human feeds you more, I must admit.”
Hmm, okay, there’s a lot that I don’t know about this yet. But since I’m with Gabriel, I know that I’ll learn from the best. He wouldn’t lead me astray because he loves me; for the first time, I feel like I can be at ease around him. Like I have nothing to hide anymore.
“Your touch has always felt soft and warm, but even more so now,” I say without thinking, watching as a sexy smile crosses his face.
“You felt that too? The touch of a human usually causes me to cringe and feel nauseating, but yours was always different. I guess that’s how you know you’re Fated, by touch and not blood.”
That would make sense.
I give him a light kiss. “We should get ready to leave–”
“No fucking way!” Church’s voice cuts through my words and we turn around to see him, Valentine, and a frowning Xenia in the doorway. “You’ve Entwined!”
I hop off from the counter and turn to face them, feeling guilty at the way Xenia is looking at me. I never told her that I wanted him to turn me; I hope she doesn’t think badly of me now.
Valentine’s grin is contagious; he approaches me and engulfs me in a hug. “Welcome to the family, Kitty Kat. We’ll take care of you,” he says, then slaps Gabriel’s shoulder. “I’m extremely happy for you, brother.”
Gabriel grins. “Thank you.”
Church doesn’t take it as slowly or gently as Valentine; he simply swoops me up and spins me around. It happens so suddenly that I cry out and slap his arms. “Put me down!”
He chuckles, then gives me a bear hug. “Ah, fuck, this is a good day! We gained a sister!”
I melt at his kind words and nearly cry again, but stop myself instead. “Thank you,” I sob, then he lets go of me and walks toward Gabriel.
Sighing, I turn to Xenia and see that she’s realized what this means for me; for us. I walk towards her, wringing my tank top in my hand and noticing that she smells of whiskey. Did she get drunk last night?
“So, you’re a vamp now?” she murmurs and I immediately stiffen at the edge to her tone.
I show her my fangs and nod. “I am,”
“Did he kill you last night?”
