“Foolishness, Tony. I’m definitely not perfect and I’m no enchantress. Although I’m glad you called me that because I can now tell you that you are a spellbinder, seducing and weaving magic. You are my lover, for this moment all that I want.”
He kissed her and she wondered if it was to stop her chatter, to reaffirm what he had just said or simply lust. The lust that had driven them all through the weekend and all this evening. She was falling back to earth, into reality and facing what she had known all along. There was no magic, no commitment, just lust and two healthy lovers who were swept up in passion.
His kiss drove her thoughts away and she clung to him as he rolled over on his side, taking her with him, holding him as close as possible. Their legs were intertwined, and she was in his embrace, pressed tightly against him. His kisses now were sweeter, light and warm.
She hugged him, running her fingers in his thick, slightly damp curls. She refused to think beyond the present moment. Soon enough tomorrow, decisions, choices would intrude, but tonight, she was locked into this time with Tony. That’s all she planned to see, think about or acknowledge.
“This is heaven,” Tony murmured against her, his breath playing lightly on her temple. “I don’t want to ever let you go. You are my dreams. Since I discovered who you are, you’ve been in my dreams every night.”
She laughed softly, winding thick black curls around her fingers. “And did I live up to those dreams?”
He shifted to look at her, smiling and brushing long strands of her hair away from her face. “You more than lived up to them. Reality is far better than dreams. I told you this is perfection, heaven. Would I change anything—no. Not at the moment, anyway.”
“Not at the moment is the key phrase,” she said. “Why does this—tonight—seem so inevitable?”
“Because it was. I always knew you’d be back in my life.”
“You knew no such thing,” she said, smiling at him, and he grinned.
“Maybe I didn’t, but once I found you, I knew you’d be back in my arms.”
“That’s because you’ve been aimed at seduction since the night you walked into my office at ten o’clock or whatever time it was.”
“How could I not be with the electricity that flies between us? Ah, this has been grand, Isabelle. Move in with me.”
She laughed. “Just like that. Move in with me. Tony, what a dreamer you are. Leave tomorrow out of this. Let’s just have tonight and enjoy it. We’ll get to tomorrow soon enough.”
“Sounds like a great idea. So for now, beautiful lady, let’s move to a hot tub of water and soak and talk and have a glass of wine.”
“I’ll accept that invitation.”
“I’ll carry you.” He stood, picking her up in his arms. “I’ll start the bath, get the wine and we’re set. White, Zinfandel or red?”
“A very sweet white.”
He set her on her feet in a large bathroom with a sunken tub surrounded by pots with ferns and tropical plants, some with exotic red and yellow blossoms. She watched him start the water. As he moved around, she reached out to pick up a thick white towel and wrap it around herself.
Her gaze roamed over Tony’s naked body, and desire awakened again. He turned around and she looked up to meet his gaze.
His expression changed as he looked at her. She could see desire flare to life in his brown eyes. He was aroused, walking to her, and she felt as if all the air had left the room. Her breathing became deep and labored, her heart racing. He took her into his arms to kiss her. She felt his hands, felt the towel slip away and then she was pressed against his bare, hard body, his arousal thrust against her, hard, hot, ready.
“Wait, Isabelle,” he said, stepping out to retrieve a packet from a table. In seconds while she caressed him, he put on protection. Tony spread his legs, braced himself and picked her up.
“Put your legs around me,” he said, lowering her on his thick staff.
She gasped with pleasure, heat suffusing her as they moved together, and she kissed his throat and neck.
“Tony, now, now,” she cried, holding him tightly, surging over another brink and feeling an explosive release and climax.
She held him tightly as he shuddered and climaxed, kissing her.
He let her slide to the floor to put her feet down. She wrapped her arms around him. “Ah, Tony, that was wonderful. You are wonderful,” she said.
“I’ll go get us that wine,” he said, leaving the room, and immediately she felt his absence.
He was wonderful, she thought, recalling what he had done for his sister. She wondered if the tales about him being so ruthless in business could be true when he would turn around and take such care of his younger sister.
Was Tony really ruthless? So far, he had given her a huge promotion and let her keep the staff she wanted, giving each of them a raise. She hadn’t heard anyone in Morris who had sounded disgruntled or had complaints.
