So I must be part of it. My connection to Tony runs deep, and my mate also feels the sibling bond to him now. I’ve been part of an identical twin duo all my life, yet certain things still surprise me.

I feel bad for how we can’t involve Elise in this, but some things can’t be changed. Others, however, can.Elodie,I start while tossing Tony a glance.Tony and I have been talking about Marcel and your sister.

And what about them? She wants to know. I can hear a slight edge to her voice as she instantly goes into defense mode concerning her sister.

Tony jumps in to help me out. What my brother is trying to say, despite his inability to find the right words, is: We have discussed Marcel and Elise because we know being apart from each other is difficult for you.

Elodie looks at us in interest now.And what did you come up with?

One of our best friends, Matthew, was supposed to be our gamma in the future, but for obvious reasons, he changed packs,I explain.

We didn’t find anyone for the position until now. However, Marcel would be perfect,Tony adds.He is a fantastic warrior, and during the workshop, the teens instantly liked him and looked up to him. He is approachable and smart, a very good warrior, while Elise is also analytical. They would be a great gamma couple. We are going to be two alphas and two lunas, so it would only make sense to have two fantastic gammas.

Are you serious!?Elodie asks breathlessly.

We still need to talk about this to both of them and definitely also talk to Alpha Celine,I say.But I wanted to know what you think about this?

It would be perfect, she whispers. It would be so perfect.

Bullies II

“Doyouwantsomecoffee?” Liam asks me as he sits down opposite of me.

“No, thank you,” I say, shifting around nervously. I hate that I feel so insecure in front of him. I’m an alpha’s heir, too, and shouldn’t feel intimidated by a fellow alpha. Liam is Uncle Elden’s firstborn child and should have inherited Silverlake, but fate led him to become alpha of a different pack instead. He is almost as imposing as Elden and a bit more… earnest than his father.

We grew up together in a way, and Liam was like our older brother.

Some things just don’t change.

“I was surprised about your call,” Liam says. “Jace recently told me that you and Tony are doing really well.”

“We had quite a lot of catching up to do,” I admit. “You know pretty well how much we slacked in our training.”

“You are only eighteen,” Liam says. “There is still time to catch up.”

“Almost nineteen,” I point out. “It was time to get more responsible.”

Liam nods. “And I assume your newfound responsibility leads you to me today?”

“How did you know?” I ask.

“Because you are being very formal,” Liam points out. “And I assume you need something from me as the alpha of the pack.”

I sigh. “You aren’t wrong. It’s always been difficult to trick you in any way.”

“So, how can I help?”

“I wanted to talk to a former schoolmate…”

Liam looks surprised. “Someone from Red Claw? Who?”

“Livia Botello,” I answer. I don’t think I will ever forget her name. Guilt has been eating at me for years, and sometimes, even during the day, her name would pop into my mind as a reminder of how I, a future alpha, bullied an innocent girl.

“I don’t see why you couldn’t talk to her,” Liam says. “She is one of our top warriors. You could have just called her.”
