“Absolutely.”

“Tony,” he starts after a while. “I’m so happy for you that you met Dalila. I haven’t talked to her much, but she seems to be a great woman.”

“She is.” I beam.

“You said she already finished college?”

I nod. “She is older than me.”

“An older woman, huh?” He wiggles his brows, making me chuckle.

“She feels the bond really intensely,” I say. “It’s almost weird how intense she feels it. I need to find a way to tell her the truth.”

“Better sooner than later,” Henry muses. “If she feels the bond so strongly, she probably already has a ton of questions and worries, plus she already saw some of our warriors naked.” He pauses. “It kind of feels like even the weather tells you that you should be honest with her.”

“I’m scared she will run out of fear,” I mutter.

“Honestly, I don’t think there is any good moment to tell her,” Henry says. “You could wait and ease her into it, but fact is, no matter how you tell her, the truth will always come as a shock.

I was thinking the same. The weather brought her into my arms, and it keeps her in my arms at the moment. I should probably make the best out of the situation and tell her everything. The fewer lies between us, the better.

Making Amends

*HENRY*

Whenweappearinmy dad’s office, I instantly notice he has champagne prepared there and fancy sandwiches with salmon. I love salmon. Oh fuck, he is so happy, and I’m going to break his heart by admitting to being a shitty son.

I feel the strong urge to run, but Tony suddenly puts his hand on my back and gently pushes me forward.

“Dad,” Tony grins. “What’s the fuss about?”

“Both of my sons found their mates!” he says cheerfully. “And one of them is already marked!”

“The other one still needs a bit of time.” Tony chuckles.

“It doesn’t matter. It’s a day to celebrate!”

Before one of us can even argue, he has already filled our glasses with champagne and ushers us to his little sofa corner in his office. Tony and I sit down there, exchanging a gaze. I wonder if this is the right timing, but then I literally just told Tony that there is no right time to tell his mate he is a lycan… there is also no right timing to tell your loving, supportive father that you were a bully in school and that you know he and your mom kept a devastating secret from you and your brother to protect you.

“I’m so proud of both of you,” He sits down with a sigh. He has tied his wild hair back into a ponytail. Dad’s always looked a bit wild and rough around the edges but also cool. He has always stayed true to himself. “You really upped your game during the last months and proved to be great alphas.” He smiles. “You are even diligent with your studies and with your duties towards your pack.”

“Would you still say that if you knew how awful I was in school?” I blurt out.

Wow, yeah, talk about a smooth intro, Henry.

Tony looks at me, rolling his eyes, but then he shrugs. “Henry wants to talk to you about something, Dad,” he says, much to my surprise.

Dad looks at the both of us and then nods. “Okay, go ahead,” he encourages me.

The seconds drip by, and I have no idea how to tell him.

There is no right way to tell him,Arlo suddenly chimes in.Just be honest. He loves you, and he will appreciate your honesty.

“I was…” I pause. “In high school, I did a few things I’m not proud of,” I admit. “I was sixteen and felt so lost… It was what later led to me and Tony battling it out. I’m sure you remember the one and only time Tony and I actually fought?”

Dad furrows his brows thoughtfully. “Now you got me curious.”
