I let him scoop me up in his arms and carry me to the game room, where he logs in again.
“How did you even organize it?” I chuckle. “Did you help Jace and the others with their characters?”
“Yes, and I cursed myself out more than once for deciding to propose online.” He grins. “But Elise was a great help, too. She was the one to handle Henry and Elo. I just had to coach Dad.”
“And Janice?”
“It seems like Mom is a natural.”
I laugh, and Tony switches the sound on again. “We are back on,” he says. “Dalila is with me.”
“Good.” Jace sounds happy. “Congratulations, and now let’s kill some monsters.”
I laugh. “That’s the spirit, Jace!”
“I think I’m slowly getting the hang of this,” Henry points out.
“Excuse me?” Elise laughs. “You died at least two times on our way to the guild house!”
“I was just distracted by that weird giant chicken,” he defends himself.
“You mean a chocobo,” Elise points out. “Goddess. Tony, Dalila, this is the funniest family outing we ever had.”
I laugh. “Wait till we are in a dungeon.”
While the others get busy equipping their characters, Tony leans forward to kiss my cheek. “I have an idea I want to pitch to you later,” he admits. “I… I know you don’t want a huge wedding, not like Elodie and Henry did it, so I thought of something. But it really depends on you.”
“What about whatyouwant?” I ask him.
“I just want to be with you,” he admits. “I’d do a huge wedding or a small one, as long as it makes you happy. But I think I have a really good idea this time.”
I eye him curiously. “I can’t wait to hear it.”
“Okay, everyone, ready to kill some monsters!” Jace exclaims.
Tony’s idea proved to be utterly perfect. The moment he told me about it, I was on board. Actually, I’ve dreamed of doing it that way, but I didn’t want to sound too demanding. Sooner than our wedding, however, came the alpha and luna ceremony.
Elodie and I are both appearing in the Emerald Moon luna color, which is green. We both went shopping together so that we would wear dresses in a similar tone of green, but we ended up having our dresses tailored. There is no color code for the alphas, but Henry and Tony have decided to wear ties and vests the same color as our dresses.
Emerald Moon is a place surrounded by nature, and the pack is proud of how green and healthy of a place it is, so Elo and I went with the theme. Elodie’s dress is sleeveless but closes up to her neck. The upper body is clad in a beautifully embroidered fabric that shows leaves of all sizes, while the skirt is out of a flowy tulle that goes down to the floor. It fits her so well. I went for something a bit more daring while sticking to the same theme. I show more cleavage, and the area around my bust is covered in embroidered leaves. My shoulders are free, but my arms are covered by loose fabric. My skirt is loose and flowy and a bit see-through, with more leaves plastered on one side. It looks like the wind carried a bunch of leaves over my dress.
I’m not too confident in my looks normally, but dang it, I think Elodie and I rock it!
Jace and Janice are both beaming with pride. Janice is holding little Rosemarie, who enlightens the ceremony with little giggles and laughter, making the whole pack chuckle. She is the cutest, and I’m glad she is here and making this a fun event instead of it being tense.
Even after almost two years, I’m shocked the pack welcomes me so openly as their human luna. No matter what Tony says, no matter that I’m part deity and have a contract with Maahes, at the core of it, I’m a human.
Elodie and I entwine our fingers together while we watch our two hot men pledge their loyalty to the pack and cut their palms to swear an oath.
“Alpha Henry, Alpha Anthony.” Jace smiles with tears in his eyes. “I know you will be exactly what this pack needs.”
“We will continue your fantastic work,” Tony says, surprising Jace.
“And make sure to be worthy successors,” Henry adds. “You saved this pack and made it flourish, Alpha Jace.”
“And we will make sure to keep up the legacy.”
Jace looks stunned before his expression makes place for a joyful smile. The pack cheers and claps for them, welcoming them as their new leaders before it’s Elodie’s and mine turn to step forward. We do it hand in hand to show the pack our unity. Our men are twins, and everyone knows they are a package, but while Elodie and I aren’t twins, we are eager to show everyone that we are going to do this together.
