“The PowerPoint presentation is ready, right?”
“Yep, all ready. I will handle it, which means it for sure will work.”
“Okay,” he nods, pecking my lips again.
We drive to the venue with Janice, Jace, and little Rosy. Rosy is dressed in the cutest little pink dress, and I can only coo at her. “Dali,” she says and reaches out her arms.
I giggle and poke her little nose.
Janice looks fantastic in a warm-toned pastel-blue dress. Meanwhile, Jace is as nervous as Tony. “What’s going on with you, Jace?”
“I have to say something during the wedding,” he mutters. “Why did I ever agree to that!?”
“You are the alpha of a whole pack.” Janice chuckles. “You are used to talking in front of crowds.”
“Yes, but this is my boy’s wedding! That’s different,” he groans. “Also, in a few weeks, Tony will graduate, and then I’ll retire. So technically, he is the alpha here.”
“Don’t worry.” I giggle. “He is as nervous as you are. But I know you will both be fantastic.”
The wedding venue is beautiful and was definitely the right choice for Elodie and Henry. Everything is decorated in white and lavender, and the ceremony is held in one of the stunning ballrooms of the villa. Within the guests, I can spot a lot of our allies like Alpha Elden and his family, but also Prince Eric with a cute young woman next to him, who I assume is his mate.
Eric is the one leading Elodie towards the aisle. She is dressed in a dream out of white that’s tight around her upper body, embroidered with white flowers, and turns into a flowy long skirt out of tulle. She looks so beautiful, and Henry has tears in his eyes when he sees her. It’s so sweet how he looks nervous and happy at the same time.
I can see Tony linking him here and there to make sure he gets his cues.
“And you?” I ask Elise once we are done with the official part of the wedding and are slowly dropping onto the dance floor. “Wanna tie the knot?”
She laughs. “Not really. Marcel and I aren’t really into weddings. We marked each other, and that’s enough for me and my chocolate prince. Maybe one day we’ll have a shaman wedding or something like that, out in the forest, just the both of us,” she says. “What about you?”
“I wouldn’t say no to Tony,” I admit. Like I told Elodie, I have the feeling he is plotting something. I just don’t know what he plans. “He has marked me, I know, but to me… marrying him would mean something.”
Elise grabs my hands to twirl me around. “I’m sure he knows, and he has been looking at you the whole evening.”
I laugh. “It doesn’t need to be immediately, don’t worry. I’m not desperate. We still have our whole future ahead of us.”
“Speaking of your future, here he comes.” She grins as Tony approaches us.
“Come, girls.” Tony kisses me softly. “Let’s take some photos! Rosy is in a good mood right now. It’s the perfect timing.”
“You did really well,” I tell him.
“Thank you.” He beams. “Dad, too, though he started crying midway.”
“That was so cute, though,” Elise says.
I nod, letting Tony pull me along for the family photo. It takes almost an hour to do them all, but Elodie and Henry both look so happy that I don’t mind.
“You need to toss the bouquet,” Elise tells Elodie once we are done.
Everyone laughs as all the unmarried females gather around Elodie. It’s the craziest moment ever because some stumble over their dresses, and it’s just a hilarious mess. The bouquet actually flies straight towards Elise, who literally dodges the bullet and—
“Dalila caught it!” Dave calls out.
Tony grins at me. “Yes, that’s my girl!”
