I grumble a bit.I hate feeling helpless. I want to take some names.

Patience is a virtue,my wolf mutters. Now instead, let’s focus on our mate and figure out how we can place a mark on her neck instead of getting riled up about your brother.

My cheeks flush a bit. He is right. I have tried to shove this problem aside… about how to bring up marking each other. There is no way I can live without Elodie in my life, and we need to address the elephant in the room eventually.

Tony and Elise decide to drag us to a Spanish restaurant, where they both go overboard with ordering fancy tapas. I would prefer my usual steak or potatoes or something simple. Tony, who notices my somber expression, grins at me. “Are you sulking again?”

I growl at him. “I’m not sulking at all.”

“You’re such a picky eater,” he teases.

“Elodie, too,” Elise points out. “She likes to eat what she knows and what she is used to.” They look at each other and burst into giggles.

“You’re truly a match made in heaven,” Tony teases.

“You would be, too,” Elodie shoots back, glaring at her twin.

Elise shrugs. “We aren’t mates, though.”

“It feels like sharing a sisterly bond with her,” Tony agrees. “It’s been getting stronger since you two found each other.”

“It’s so peculiar how it works for us twins,” Elodie muses.

We all nod at her words. I’ve read about what happens once identical twins find their mates. How it changes and alters their bond to each other. Tony’s and mine bond is still strong, but now he has a sibling bond to Elodie, too, and it seems also to Elise. I know in some very rare cases, identical twins might even share a mate. As for Tony and me, I always knew we wouldn’t share one. We love each other; there is no competition between us, but we both hate to share. Hell, I can’t even share my food, let alone a mate! I just knew in my gut that we would each find a mate.

Elodie’s phone lights up with a message. “That’s Marcel.” She smiles. “He is coming in a few minutes.”

“Good thing we’ve only ordered a minute ago. Still time to order some more for Arman and Marcel,” Tony says while jumping into action immediately. He waves at the waitress, winking at her and making her both roll her eyes and chuckle before ordering even more tapas. Marcel is a warrior, and Arman a lycan with alpha blood; they both can eat a ton.

When the waitress stares at us in surprise, Tony grins. “Two more friends are coming. And we eat a lot.”

“Well…” She smiles. “I’m not one to judge. If it’s chocolate, there is no stopping me.”

“Good to know,” Tony says smoothly and beams at her.

Her cheeks flush a bit, and she smiles at him.

I wonder if his flirty attitude has become second nature to him by now. He was always a bit more… promiscuous, but he has never flirted that openly before. This shit has to be exhausting. At least I know it would be for me. I’m so glad and lucky I found my mate already. I entwine our fingers, making Elodie look at me shortly, a smile gracing her beautiful face.

Before she can say something, though, we can hear a loud voice calling out to us. “Hey, troublemaker twins and the lovely Elise and Elodie!”

We all look up to see Marcel approaching us, Arman following right behind him. Marcel has obviously been training a lot and has bulked up quite a bit. His ebony skin is blemish-free like usual, and he is sporting a new tattoo on his upper arm. Arman behind him looks the same as the last time I saw him, albeit still as impressive. He is a tall man of Middle Eastern heritage with quite some muscles to show off, his tanned complexion and dark hair and eyes making him look like he is out of a catalog. And he is sporting his usual stoic expression.

I swear if I Googled hot Arab prince, his picture would pop up. Tony links me.Not lying, I’m envious.

I have to hide my grin at his silly remark.

Marcel waves at us and smiles. He is an elite warrior in his pack and in Alpha Celine’s private circle of her most entrusted warriors.

To my surprise, Elise stands up all of a sudden and steps forward, a gasp leaving her lips. “My chocolate prince,” she blurts out.

Marcel sniffs the air, his eyes widening. “My favorite Milky Way bar.” He grins.

He doesn’t waste any more time, strolls over to Elise, grabs her by her waist, and lifts her up to smash their lips against each other. Elise instantly wraps her arms and legs around him like a cute little monkey and goes all in for the kiss. With tongue and all.

I’m feeling a sibling bond to her now, and I inwardly want to die.

“People are watching, Elise,” Elodie groans.
