I frown doubtfully. She didn’t even cum. Lynx urges me to focus on the mate bond and see how she feels, and all I can take through the bond is my mate feeling at peace and happy.

“Steve,” she says, tugging me close to her and snuggling against me. I take in a lungful of her scent, feeling at peace instantly and wrapping her into my arms. “It was perfect because it was with you.”

Epilogue #4 Brothers II

Maxpokeshisnoseinto the ocean water and grimaces, shaking his head. His brother Cyrus, Marius’ lycan, is following him and trying to show him how it’s done. Unfortunately, while Cyrus is a huge and impressive lycan, he is also clumsy and dives headfirst into the water.

Celine and I both giggle at our mates’ antics. Finn and I worked for months to get the pack running again. We’ve visited his family a few times, but there wasn’t much time to hang out. Now that our warriors are ready to protect the pack, we are finally at ease and can relax a bit. We use it to catch up with our friends and family. Anthony, Henry, and Marcel will visit with their mates next week, and we plan to take them horseback riding. We also have a hot spring now, which they can use to relax.

For today though, Marius and Celine came to visit us with Finn’s younger twin brothers. The twins are like night and day. Felix is a tall, lean, but muscular beach boy with tanned skin, wavy blonde hair, freckles and a happy-go-lucky attitude, while Dario has dark hair and is a bit on the pale side. He has piercing blue eyes, though, a stark contrast to his dark hair. They are also entirely different personality-wise. Felix is extroverted and laughs and talks a lot, while Dario is a quiet and introverted boy. Currently, he is sitting on one of the rocks, basking in the sun while his twin, Felix, is trying to teach Max how to swim. Felix loves water and goes surfing regularly. It seems to be his element in a way, which is very unusual for wolves.

Max is not doing too badly, if he would stay focused for more than five minutes instead of messing around with Cyrus.

Celine chuckles. “Our silly men,” she says, but sounds affectionate.

“They are the best,” I say.

She nods. “Marius started to build a shelter for teens who are neglected and abused, and just need a safe place to stay. Isn’t that amazing? It’s a lot of work, because the teens are demanding, but he is so good with them.”

“That is amazing!” I exclaim.

She nods, pride in her eyes while she talks about her mate. “He is very good with children in general.”

“He is also very good with Ryllis,” I say. “She told me. She said he involves her in some of his work.”

“He is giving his all,” she says. “I’m beginning to wonder how he would be with our kids,” she says after a while.

I look at her, eyes wide. “Don’t tell me—”

“No.” she chuckles. “I’m not pregnant. But I think I will ask him if he is ready to start a family.”

“He will be overjoyed,” I say. If I know one thing, it is that these brothers are all family men. Finn and I talked about kids too, but we both agreed it’s too early. I want to finish getting my High School Diploma first and understand siren culture, and we both want to settle into our lives.

Her lips curl into a smile while she watches Cyrus walk towards her with a proud look on his face like he just did something amazing by accidentally diving into the water. Celine brushes through his wet fur and plants a kiss on his snout.

I want a kiss too,Max exclaims, running towards me, and he almost knocks me over when he approaches me.

Careful.I grin, tousling through his fur.

I can’t believe he is doing this for us,Sereia says.Learning how to swim.

He is incredible,I agree.So accepting.

“I think both of you need to join us,” Felix says. “Otherwise, we won’t get anything done.”

Celine and I exchange a gaze and then get up.

“Are you coming too?” Felix asks Dario.

Dario seems to be torn, but eye to eye with Felix’s puppy eyes, he has no chance and agrees. It’s cute to see them together. They are not identical, but they remind me of Henry and Tony with how close they are.
