Freya almost doubles over laughing. She scoots closer to me and grabs my face between her hands. “Tell your silly wolf, yes, I got us some snacks.”

I chuckle and wrap an arm around her waist, pulling her into a kiss.

Her eyes widen, two pools of green looking at me in wonder and careful hope now. “Really?” she whispers.

I nod at her, happy to see her so joyful. Her wolf is right; they are both healing fast, but getting a peek at her reminds me that the pack doctor wants to see us again. In the meantime, my parents have joined us with some guards and curious pack members. News travels fast, and the fact that I have found a mate has gained a lot of curiosity.

I notice how my father tries to tone down his alpha aura whenever he is close to Ryllis and Freya. It might not be something significant to anyone else, but I’m so appreciative that he does it. It only strikes me now how lucky I was to be born to my parents.

“Did you girls have fun?” Mom asks hopefully, taking Freya’s hands into hers.

“Possibly too much.” Freya chuckles. “Right, Ryllis?”

Ryllis smiles. “Everyone was really nice. Alpha Celine too.”

“Did you bond with my sister a bit?” Steve asks hopefully.

Ryllis nods. “She is so sweet. It’s hard not to like her.”

Steve beams, obviously happy. I’m sure Ryllis will warm up to his other sister too. Harmony is Celine’s beta, and a strong she-wolf, but she is also kind and fun.

“It was fascinating to meet a female alpha,” Freya muses. “And Ryllis is right; she was so welcoming.”

“Yes,” Ryllis says, nodding. “She even helped Freya and I choose some lingerie.”

She doesn’t seem to notice what she just said, but Freya blushes, and Steve turns into an overripe tomato. I wiggle my brows at my mate.So, does that mean you got something spicy?
