“Absolutely.”
While Merrick herded everyone out of the house, I went in search of Baron and Kenna. The large bloodstain still marked the carpet in Kenna’s room. It would be a while before that was cleaned up and she could return to sleep in her own bed.
I found them in a guest room, Baron propped up by several pillows, with Kenna curled up against his side, her arm draped over his middle. He nodded to the other side of the bed. It was a tight squeeze but I slid onto the mattress, curving my body around Kenna’s. Her hair was beginning to dry into soft, sweetly scented frizzy tendrils. She reached back and took my hand, guiding my arm around her.
Ten minutes later, Merrick appeared in the doorway. Kicking off his shoes, he eased himself down on the end of the bed and curled his hand around Kenna’s foot in an affectionate, protective gesture, as if to say,I’m here, I’ve got you.
A contented smile curved her lips up with a small, happy sound.
Chapter Thirteen
Kenna - Three months later
I never got tired of waking up surrounded by my men—warm skin, strong muscles, and sleepy, dream-like kisses peppered everywhere they could reach. I nuzzled against Baron’s broad back while Troy cuddled closer behind me. Merrick had stayed up all night, patrolling the house, which meant he would need to catch some sleep soon.
Right on cue, my bedroom door opened and Merrick stepped in. He tapped Troy on the foot and motioned for him to move.
“Get out of here,” he grunted.
Troy held onto me tighter, burying his face in my neck.
“Not a chance.”
Merrick grumbled with a frown. Stripping down to his snug-fitting boxers, he climbed over the foot of the bed. When I opened my arms to him, he settled on top of me. The crushing weight of him was comforting, pressing me deeper into the mattress.
“Missed you,” I mumbled, scraping my teeth along his jawline.
“I didn’t go anywhere, princess,” he replied with a yawn.
“But you weren’t in bed with me. So, I missed you.”
Merrick chuckled. The sound vibrated through me, deliciously deep and wonderfully smooth. It set every nerve in my body on fire and I hooked my legs over his hips.
“If I didn’t know any better,” he said. “I’d say you were getting a bit clingy.”
Merrick slid his palm up my thigh, pushing the hem of my nightgown higher.
“I bet you’re needy, too,” he said, his voice low and gravel-rough. His breath fanned across my hair and his stubble rasped against my cheek. “You’re always so goddamn wet in the morning, as if you can’t stand going just a few hours without your daily dose of cock from one of your boys.”
I hummed at the promise of his words and wiggled my hips in anticipation.
“Honestly, I don’t even know why she bothers wearing clothes to bed,” Troy muttered against her shoulder. “We take them off as soon as she wakes up.”
“Well, when she sees the lacy little gift in the kitchen waiting for her,” Merrick said. “I hope she wears it a little longer than a few minutes.”
I pulled back to look up into Merrick’s face. The corner of his mouth pulled up into a devious little smirk.
“A present?” I asked.
Baron slid his arm between my body and the mattress. After he elbowed Merrick off me, Baron whisked me up and onto my feet with an affectionate pat to my ass.
“Go.”
I took off, down the hall, around the corner, and skidded into the kitchen. Next to the coffee maker was a dark purple gift bag with a black envelope. Silver, looping letters readFor Miss Kenna Newhouseacross the front.
For a moment, I couldn’t decide if I wanted to look inside the bag first or open the envelope. In the end, the envelope won out. When I opened it, I found an invitation to Club Sin, from Troy, Merrick, and Baron. I smiled to myself, giddy at the thought of sharing my favorite room with my favorite men.
Then I looked into the bag.
