Khia had the nerve to smile at this predator.

What the fuck? Who told him that? No one. It couldn’t be anyone.I didn’t have a driver all day today. I knew for a fact Lord didn’t tell Nicco my sister was coming to Vegas. He knew better.

I glared at him. “We’re dining at a restaurant you own, in a hotel you own, that has video cameras everywhere you turn. I’m sure you were lurking and saw us already. You didn’t have to come over.”

“Whoa there, Olivia Benson, I’m not a stalker.” He grinned. “I didn’t see you on video surveillance. I came here to visit with someone and I saw a table full of beautiful women. I recognized Khia from across the room.”

Bullshit!

“You found us.” I smarted. “From across the room.” I thought about it. We were a table full of Black women at a high-end five-star restaurant. We probably stood out.

“I haven’t seen your sister in a very long time. I wanted to stop over and say hello. If that’s okay with you.” Nicco smirked. “Are you going to offer me a seat? I would love to join you.”

Alexis immediately scooted over to give her favorite brother a seat right next to her.

“I table full of brains and beauties. You don’t see this every day.” Nicco complimented us ladies, but it didn’t sway me.

I’m sure he meant a table full of Blacks bitches, but he knew better than to say that. It was four of us at this table and I was sure we were ready to set it off just like in the movie. That’s if he said what he was thinking.

“So, Khia.” He said.

“So, Nicco.” My sister smiled, and she purred his name.

Nicco turned all of his perverted attention across the table to Khia. “Are you still married?”

Khia was taken aback, but quickly regained her composure. “Yes, I am.”

“Happily?” He queried.

“Yes, happily.” Khia smiled widely. Nicco was charming her right before my eyes, and I hated it.

“I’m disappointed. You know if you ever separate or divorce, you can always call me.”

My sister giggled. “I respect the offer, but I’m going all the way with my husband.”

“You should. You will probably outlive him. I’m willing to wait for you.” This bastard winked.

“That’s so sweet.” She gushed, or she was being sarcastic. I couldn’t tell which one.

“Black, don’t crack and I’m willing to wait twenty, thirty, years.” He belted out the cliché phrase like he would ever be invited to the cookout.

“Twenty or thirty whole years?” She teased. I couldn’t believe she was still talking to him. If she only knew.

“Why not? You’ll probably put on a few pounds, but your face will still be the same.”

“Nicco, please, stop flirting with my sister.” I was beyond annoyed. He was sitting here acting like a regular guy. He was running a whole criminal organization in multiple cities. He wasn’t a regular guy. He was a lawless creep.

“Fine, but the offer still stands.” He was really grinning at my sister.

“Isn’t your wife somewhere looking for you?” I threw the only jab I could at the boss. He had a wife, and they were never together. Someone needed to remind him and I was that someone.

Nicco smirked and looked directly at me. “What wife?” Then he had the nerve to wink at me. “I will let you lovely ladies get back to your dinner.” Nicco floated to his feet like a snake. Reptiles didn’t float, but his sliver had a little float in it.

Nicco did a quick bow of his head, like we were living in the Victorian era. He rushed away from our table, flocked by at least four bodyguards.

Now I had to figure out how to keep my dinner down. This man made me want to throw up. I was going to give him a piece of my mind as soon as I could.
