“I need my money. I deaded two people and I don’t have any problem deading two more.”

“I’m going to get you your fucking money. I will have two million cash in your hands early Wednesday morning. The request goes in Monday and your money will be ready for pickup on Wednesday. I can drop it off to you. What’s your address?”

“You think I’m stupid. I’m not going to tell you where I live. See this is but I hate about people like you. You think you’re better than the rest of us. You think you’re smarter than the rest of us. But you’re actually a piece of shit. You’re not smart. You’re a fucking sucker, an easy mark. That’s why I’m taking your money. What do you have to say about that?”

“I don’t have anything to say. But where do you want me to drop this money off? I can’t just walk around with two million dollars.”

“Don’t worry about that. I will call you with the place and the time. You better come along. I’m not playing with you. I’m not playing with you at all. If I even think you try to rat me out I will kill your grandmother in a heartbeat.”

“You don’t have to threaten me over and over and over again. I’m going to get you your money. I’m cooperating with you.”

“That’s fucking great. You keep doing that and we won’t have any problems whatsoever.”

“I just want to get this over with. So I can go on with my life.”

“Lord don’t try to get cute. Don’t try to figure a way out of this. If you go to the police you will fail. Those two dead girls we’ll be pinned on you. I have your DNA and I can planted on the evidence that I collected from the scene.”

“You called of everything.”

“I thought about this payday and I’m getting real soon. You’ve fucked the wrong cop. Maybe you should think about the women you fuck for your own pleasure.”

Lauren preaching to me was the most ridiculous thing ever. She was the married woman. She was the one who took vows with her husband not me. The facts were she was the one who sat next to me at the bar on Rush Street. She started chatting me up. Lauren was too rough around the edges. She wasn’t my type. But she wanted to sleep with me and I’ve never slept with the cop. So I went along for the ride.

After a few seconds of her staring at me from across the table, she decided to open mouth. “I’m leaving. I have people watching your grandmother’s house. I will call off the dogs once I have the money in my hands. I’m leaving. I need you to sit here for a few minutes after I’m gone. Then you can get up and go wherever the fuck you want, just as long as I get my motherfucking money. Do you understand?”

“I understand.”

“Lord, come on. Don’t look so down. I’m sure you can make two million dollars back in no time.”

Lauren scooted at her way out of the booth. She stood and took her gone and placed it in the holster behind her back. “This was fun. Maybe we should do it again sometime.”

“There’s not going to be a next time.” I meant every single word of that declaration. There was no way I wouldn’t let her get away with threatening my grandmother and my girlfriend. She had already gotten away with murder. I was going to have to think of something and I was going to have to think of it quick.

I watched her walk out of the restaurant door. I couldn’t believe she pulled a gun only in a public place I also couldn’t believe that I reached across the table and tried to choke the life out of that bitch. But it happened and I’m in this predicament. I have to say my way out of this. I didn’t want to call him. I didn’t want to ask for his help. But there was only one person I’ll quit to deal with these certain situations.

After five minutes I left the table and went back to my car in the parking garage. I said in my car in total darkness animated dreaded phone call.

“Boondock Saint.” He called me. “Finally you call me. What’s up?”

“Something just happened.”

“Something like what?”

“I got a serious problem.”

“You got a serious problem? What? Did that pretty black lady dump you?”

“No it’s nothing like that some serious crimes have been committed and someone’s trying to frame me.”

“Frame who? You? Frame you?” He asked in total disbelief.

“Yeah I’m in trouble.”

“No way how you’re a fucking choirboy.”

“Well not anymore I’m in trouble and I need your help.”

“Of course I’ll be there in a few hours.”
