“Yeah, we’re all good now.”
Quinn sets her drink on the table. “Good, then we can talk about your fight. How are you feeling?”
“Honestly? Amazing. I mean, beyond the pounding head and throbbing face. It felt like coming home.” I make a face. “Does that sound dumb?”
Quinn shakes her head. “No. It makes sense to me. That’s what it always felt like for me too. We always knew fighting was in your blood.”
I sigh, nodding. “It felt like Freyr was there with me. Part of me can’t help wondering if he isn’t helping me out somehow, and that’s why I’m doing as well as I am. I know that’s stupid—“
“It’s not stupid,” Vicki interjects. “It sounds just like something he would do.”
“It really does, doesn’t it?” I tear up just a little bit, but there’s a smile on my face. “I think he’d be proud of me.”
“Hell yes, he would be.” Quinn reaches over and takes one of my hands, squeezing lightly. “I’m proud of you. You did amazingly for your first fight. You held your own there for a while, which is why I’ve already scheduled your next fight. It’s not for another month, but if you keep progressing at the rate you have been, I have no doubts that you’ll win this one.”
I squeal. “Really?”
“Yes, really.”
Vicki pushes to her feet, holding her hand out to me. “Enough talk about boys and fighting. Let’s get hammered and dance the night away.”
So we do.
I have a blast, even if I’m missing my guys. At least I finally got them to have sex with me. Before tonight, it had been way too long. I hope they realize it’s going to be a regular thing now.
“You’re thinking about them again, aren’t you?” Vicki slurs, and I blink up at her.
“Huh?”
She giggles. “You’re thinking about your guys and their massive dicks. I might not have gotten a good look, but they seem like the types to have good dicks.”
“They do have really good dicks.” I sigh. “I miss them.”
“The guys or their dicks?” Vicki asks seriously.
I consider the question. “Both, I think.”
“The two of you are such lightweights,” Quinn says with a chuckle. “Come on, drunkies, let’s get you all home.”
Quinn drags us outside and into the town car she rented for the night.
“Freya, your house is the closest, so we’ll drop you off first.”
I hum my agreement, giving her a thumbs up as my eyes fall shut. It’s so comfy back here. Maybe I can take a nap.
“You don’t have time for a nap, little bird.” Quinn laughs.
Did she just read my mind? My eyes fly open to stare at her.
Quinn shakes her head, a smirk painting her lips. “No, darling. All of your inside thoughts are on the outside right now.”
“I don’t understand.”
Vicki giggles. “She means you’re talking out loud, not inside your head.”
“Ohhhh... oops?”
All three of us laugh as the car heads for my house. It doesn’t take long for us to pull up outside of my parents’ house.
