I mess around in the app a bit more until I find the section that will allow me to change the lighting and sound in the maze. I lower the lights until it’s mostly dark and turn on my chase playlist with a smile.

“The smile is a little scary, angel,” Fox whispers as he comes to stand beside me. “But it’s also hot as hell. My dick is so hard for you right now. Are you ready for this?”

“I’ve never been more ready for anything in my life.”

And it’s the truth. The last ten years have been spent readying myself for this moment. It’s time to make them pay.

“Then I think it’s time for us to head into the maze, don’t you think, princess?”

I turn my head to stare down Cooper. “Who said anything about the three of you going into the maze?”

“We need pictures of their dead bodies, little one.” Austin’s voice is gentle as he comes to stand behind me, resting his chin on the top of my head. “We can’t get those if we’re not inside the maze.”

I know he’s right, but how do I know they won’t try to punish these men for me? Sure, I’ll be happy they’re dead, but what if that’s not enough? What if I need them to die at my hands?

“We won’t touch them, Sage. Not unless you’re in direct danger.” Fox’s face is eager as he watches me. “We can be your backup while you hunt them, and we can get the pictures we need. Please, let us in there with you. I don’t think I can sit out here and just watch.”

He gestures to the TV where I’ve changed the video to various overhead views of the maze. It had been my intention to leave them here in my office and hunt them myself, but I can understand their need to be inside with me.

“Fine, but you don’t lay a hand on them. They’re my kills. I’ve earned this, and it’s my vengeance to take.”

“Whatever you need, Sage.” Cooper pushes in on my other side. “Just don’t leave us out here.”

Sighing, I run a hand through my hair. “Fine. You may taunt them all you want. You can even rough them up a bit, but I make the killing blow on all four of them. If any of you take that from me, I’ll be chasing you in the maze next.”

“Who says we wouldn’t like that?” Fox teases, but from the heat in his eyes, I think he’s serious.

Desire rushes through me at the idea of hunting my men down in my maze, or even better, having them hunt me down. I rub my thighs together, suddenly needing relief from the heat running through me.

Cooper chuckles. “Maybe later, princess. Right now, you have four men to hunt down to make them pay for their crimes.”

“Yes, I do. But there’s something else I need to do first.” I turn, wrapping an arm around Fox’s neck and yanking him to me for a kiss that sets my blood on fire.

When I pull back, we’re both panting as we stare into one another’s eyes, but when Cooper tugs on my arm, I turn willingly into his embrace. Our kiss is harder, more demanding, but still just as hot. Then he’s passing me to Austin, whose lips brush over mine again and again in featherlight touches.

Finally, I pull away, my head spinning. “I’ll see you on the other side, boys.”

I give them a quick salute before dashing out the door that leads into the maze before they each follow me. The door locks from the inside, and there isn’t a knob on this side, so we don’t have to worry about anyone going back that way.

And now it’s time for the hunt.

Chapter Twenty-one

Sage

Thisrighthereisone of the many reasons why I chose to not wear heels tonight. Even I’m not crazy enough to try to run in heels.

My hunting playlist spills from the speakers, adrenaline coursing through me as I allow the words to sink into me—and hopefully the four men whom I’m chasing.

It’s been ten years, and now, they will finally pay for what they’ve done. If I have a little fun along the way, who can blame me?

“You can run, but you can’t hide,” I yell out, unsure if any of them are close enough to hear me over the music.

I can hear my men following behind me, not getting too close. Eventually, we’ll need to split up because it’s harder to sneak up on these bastards if there are four of us. But for now, I don’t mind that they’re on my tail.

“Why is this so fucking hot?” I hear Fox murmur, and it makes me smile.

A sound to my left has my head jerking to the side, and I duck down the next opening. Even if I find one of them now, I won’t kill them. For now, it’s all about taunting them.
