I gnaw the problem over in my mind and do some research on the Internet. When I find the app that turns an extra phone into a nanny cam, I search for it immediately in my app store. It's there.
I download it and set it up. Now all I have to do is pair it with Cian's phone.

I'm sleeping with my noise cancelling earbuds in when the ding of a received text wakes me up. I grab my phone and pull up my text messages. Cian sent me a picture. Of me sleeping.
While I'm looking at it, another text comes in.
Cian:Mo chroĆ.
I smile, feeling that peaceful bliss settle inside me. I text back a heart emoji then I snuggle into my pillow and go back to sleep.
CIAN
The meetings with our allies went well. Even Walsh gave over every piece of information he had on the Kicks Bandidos. The threat of losing his territory and his life loosened his lips. He tried to make a speech about working with my father and the value of wisdom. I told him to shut the fuck up and that it was wise not to test me.
He listened.
Pooling our information and resources, we have a location forEl Fantasmaand a watch on her. Because of Carmen, we also have a list of the major players in the street gang that we need to take out. We should have locations for all of them in the next forty-eight hours.
Leandros Drakos is putting his Greek mafia behind eradicating these fuckers. Between the Greeks, my men and Quinn's mob, we have the manpower to make a devastating coordinated attack.
And that is what we're going to do. Obliterate those bastards in one bloody night.
Ma says the doctors are releasing Shea from the hospital tomorrow. I convinced her to take my sister to a rehabilitation clinic in Spain so they'll both be out of the country when we strike back at the Kicks Bandidos. Her doctors okayed the flight in our private jet, but they'll be taking a medical team with them anyway. Allies in the Irish mob in Spain will watch out for Ma and Shea, but they'll take a ten man squad of bodyguards with them too.
Our plans for taking out the street gang are only days away from fruition. Once we do, I'm moving Anna into my place. This shit where I can only see her for glimpses at a time is not enough. I check the tracking app for her anklet several times an hour, but knowing where she is without being able to actually check on her is messing with my head.
So, as soon as the Kicks Bandidos are handled, she's coming back to work in my office and moving in with me.
It will take the cartel time to regroup and before they do, we'll send the war to them. For that, Carmen's intel has proven invaluable. Think they can fucking try to kill my people with a biological weapon? I'll blow their fucking compound, or send in a platoon of mercenaries to take out every last one of those suckers.
We promised Carmen proof of death for her father, her uncle, that bastard she married and her flaming bitch of a cousin who not only thought she could take over Chicago but forgot the most important rule in any syndicate. Loyalty.
Martina Vega-Gutierrez is the reason Anna isn't working at her desk in my line of sight right now. She is the reason my sister has months of physical rehabilitation and psychotherapy ahead of her. I will see toEl Fantasma's punishment and death personally.
"What?" I growl when Lachlan comes into my office.
"You sound like a pissed off lion. I thought you'd be happier. We're close to taking out thatEl Fantasmabitch."
"Not close enough." Anna is still in danger.
And not where she needs to be: with me.
My phone lights up with a text message. It's Anna. She's in early. It's only 7:30. She'd better have ridden with her bodyguards.
I check the message.
Anna:Could you come to Jimmy's office for a couple of minutes?
Getting up, I head out, not bothering to tell Lachlan where I'm going. When I reach my uncle's office suite, I'm not surprised to find Anna alone. He won't arrive for another thirty minutes at least.
Anna jumps up when she sees me. She's holding her phone, her face creased in that beautiful smile that I hardly get to see because I don't get to see her. "Give me your phone."
I pull it out and hand it to her after unlocking it. She taps on the screen for a few seconds and then says, "I need your finger."
Lifting my hand, I let her use my fingerprint to access whatever it is she's trying to do. If someone else had asked to put something on my phone I would have insisted on seeing what it was and asked what the hell it was for beforehand.
