"I will, don't you worry."

"I worry about very little." An impending war with a street gang and the cartel that supports them? That concerns me.

Whether Ini approves of the intimacy that Anna and I shared doesn't.

Anna comes out wearing a dress with flowers on it. It has short, cap sleeves and a full skirt that doesn't reach her knees. She looks beautiful, but her gorgeous tits are clearly confined by a bra.

We eat quickly and Ini offers to do the dishes so we can leave.

"Thanks!" Anna touches her friend's shoulder, but doesn't hug her.

My girl doesn't like to touch other people. Except me.

Just another way she's perfect for me.

We leave the building the same way I came in last night. My clothes aren't meant for day stealth and she looks too pretty in her dress to be ignored. However, even if Martina has watchers on me, or even Anna, it's unlikely they're watching twenty-four-seven, much less all the angles of her building.

Still, I scan the area for any threats before I let Anna follow me outside.

Her bodyguards are in their SUV waiting near my car like I told them to be.

"I thought I was riding with you," she says when she sees them.

"You are. They'll follow at a distance to make sure we aren't tailed and to be available if I need backup protecting you."

"Is this because you're a mob boss?"

"Yes. And you're mine."

"But you don't want anyone to know that."

"Not sure how well that's going to work with me showing up at your apartment and staying the night." I don't have issues with self-control. If something has to be done, I do it.

"You were worried when I didn't answer the phone last night."

"I didn't like it."

"I had my earbuds in. I didn't hear it ring, or the text chime."

"When you wear your earbuds, will you pair them with your phone, so you hear it ring?"

"Is it important to you?"

"I broke into your apartment and pulled you out of your bed last night because I couldn't talk to you."

"You didn't break in. You have a key."

"Because I made a copy without asking you."

She looks out the window, her posture tense.

"What's the matter."

"You know that's not normal behavior. I know it's not either, but I was glad when I realized you were there. That you hadn't forgotten about me."

"You would have known that if you had answered your phone."

"I liked having you show up more."
