We execute our coordinated attack on the Kicks Bandidos with our allies once all the teams are in place.
Each syndicate is responsible for their territory. The ones that are shared by more than one crime family have worked out the logistics of their shared responsibilities.
Drakos has all the Greek mafias involved. We also pulled in two smaller Irish mob families besides us and the Murphy Clan.
We aren't starting a war; we are obliterating our enemy.
I coordinated this assault, but I’m no one's fucking mother. As long as they execute the objective, I don't care how they share the responsibility.
Stavros and I have split our territory by streets. Others are using joint teams. Our agreement is to get the Kicks Bandidos off our streets. How we do that is up to each Boss. Lachlan says we need to recruit, so we're assessing every gang member for potential loyalty and specialty within our mob.
That assessment will come with the pain of torture, but a price must be paid for giving loyalty to the wrong syndicate to begin with.
Anyone who already has their finger cut off and is found on the street, working for the gang in my territory again, dies tonight. That kind of stupidity can't be trained away. This is war and there will be casualties.
Lachlan is coordinating our attack because I am going afterEl Fantasma. Martina Fucking Vega-Gutierrez.
Connor is on my team, along with two other enforcers, including a sniper. Drakos sent four of his top soldiers with us, including Christakos. He wants access to the intel, because he wants the cartel dismantled as much as I do. He's furious they dared to come after Chicago, the city where he lives.
I run a mob, not a territory that covers the Midwest and part of Canada, like him. Between the two of us, I'm the one the cartel has to worry about the most though. Because Chicago ismycity. I will do whatever it takes to destroy the cartel threatening it, including bringing together a coalition of Irish mobsters from all over the cityandthe Greek mafia.
Eduardo Gutierrez is a fool to think he can take over Chicago.
His daughter,El Fantasma, is staying in a house an hour outside of the city. It's too well fortified to be some random house they decided to use. This place has been built, or upgraded, to protect its inhabitants.
Which just confirms that Carmen was kept in the dark about a lot of her cousin's plans.
Security is tight, but my tech specialist is ready to shut down the alarm system when I give the word. It will appear as if it is running normally until we infiltrate the second perimeter. Then he will cut all power and backup power sources to the house.
Martina Vega-Gutierrez has a dozen men guarding her and Carmen's husband. The soldiers can die, but I want to bringEl Fantasmain alive. Bernardino too, her cheat of a lover. They will have the intel we need to take out the Gutierrez Cartel in Colombia.
They'll both die as we promised Carmen, though.
Eventually.
I don't think she'll mind knowing they're enduring worse at our hands than she did.

Not knowing what is happening with Cian is much harder than I thought it would be. I wish I had a spycam on his phone like he has on mine right now.
Unable to sit and read, or watch a show, I pace through the apartment saying my rhyme over and over. I keep my phone with me, just in case, but I know his eyes aren't on me right now.
They can't be.
Cian doesn't think I know what is happening. But although I wear my noise cancelling headphones, I don't always turn on the music or the white noise. Sometimes, I don't fit them snuggly to my ear either, which makes it possible to listen to conversations if the voices are loud enough.
The men he's been meeting with have been tense and often loud.
I'm very good at pretending not to hear things, something I learned to do when living with my aunt and uncle. So, neither he, nor any of his men, suspect I've overheard enough to put it all together.
While I don't know the specifics, I do know that the city's underworld is going to war and the rest of Chicago has no clue.
Tonight dozens, maybe even hundreds will die. How will they hide the bodies? How will they hide their involvement? Will Cian come home to me tonight? Tomorrow?
Will Connor survive? Lachlan?
I've never had so many people I cared about before and now the majority of them are in the mob and their lives are at risk.
