“Okay.” That was only fair.
“You regressed younger than I expected.”
Adam couldn’t help the way he curled into himself. It had been a concern, but he’d forgotten about it when he’d found himself regressing.
“No, no, it’s fine with me. More than fine. I was just surprised. The way that Sam and Caden talk, I was almost picturing you as more of a middle than little.”
“With them I guess I am,” Adam told him. “Someone has to watch out for us.”
“But…” Lucas encouraged.
“But,” Adam repeated. “When I’m alone. Locked in my room when I know no one else will bother me, I’m littlelittle.”
“That’s great, baby. It makes me feel incredibly good that you trusted me enough to start to go that deep.”
That was what had happened, wasn’t it? Lucas had been able to take on some of Adam’s responsibilities like putting his things away and Adam could sink down into his little mindset. “Yeah, I…I liked it.”
“Is it still okay if I get you changed?”
“Yes,” Adam said. “I still like that. I want to be your baby. Maybe even have baths. I’ve never done that with anyone but Sam and Caden talk about it all the time. I would like to try that sometime. Just not what they do, you know, together during the bath.”
“I would love to bathe my baby,” Lucas told him. “But a nice bath doesn’t have to only be little time. I wouldn’t mind sharing a bath with my boyfriend too. Then you could play with your boyfriend any way you wanted.”
It dawned on him at that moment what Sam had been telling him for years. The way that Adam was built didn’t make him a freak. Just because he had different needs or desires didn’t mean he wasn’t a little. He had a boyfriend, two actually, with who he could do all the sexy things he’d been dreaming about. He also had a Daddy to help take care of the tough decisions.
Adam wrapped his arms around Lucas, hugging him tight, as things began to click into place. His place. Finally, after so many times of being rejected, Adam knew he was right where he was supposed to be.
“Oh! This is a great hug,” Lucas said quietly.
It really was. But Adam was sort of getting cold and he did have toys to play with. He drew back and grinned. “Cold, Daddy.”
“Well, I can’t have my baby getting sick. Come on, little man, and let Daddy get you in your jammies. We need to check on Nash anyway.”
“K.” Adam climbed off Lucas’s lap before dropping back down to the bed. When Lucas reached for his underwear, Adam lifted his hips, not embarrassed that his cock remained soft.
Lucas gently dressed Adam in his jammies before handing him his paci and blankie once again. Standing next to the bed, Adam waited as Daddy collected his mat and all the toy cars that he wanted to play with.
“I’m going to settle you on the floor in Nash’s room while I check on dinner. That way if he wakes up, you’ll be there.”
He bobbed his head in agreement. He wished that his Daddy would move faster though. Adam really wanted to play.
“Okay, baby, I see you dancing around.” He led the way toward the door.
Adam almost tripped in his haste to follow.
One quick look from Lucas with a raised brow and Adam slowed down. He didn’t want to have a broken leg like Nash. Hey! Maybe he should color Nash a picture later. He was sure that Nash would like that. Didn’t everyone like to have pictures made just for them?
“I’m making a stew for dinner tonight in the crockpot but how about I make us a light lunch now? I don’t think Nash will be awake any time soon.”
Adam’s stomach growled in answer for him.
“Yeah, we need to get some real food in you,” Lucas said. He pushed open the door across from Adam’s that Nash was currently sleeping in. “I can’t believe the crap we had to eat for two days. For a hospital cafeteria, you would have thought they’d have healthier options that fried burritos, corn dogs, and chicken tenders.”
“Tendies are the best, Daddy!” Adam rushed forward to flop on the thick carpet to get his toys.
“You’re going to turn into a tendie if you’d eaten anymore.”
Adam rolled his eyes. This was the same argument that he’d heard for days. Lucas had not been happy with the selection of food but neither he or Adam had wanted to leave the hospital.
