Page 22 of Spreading Her Wings

“Are you two taking shots or what?” Simone shouted, pulling us from the private world in between our stares. “Save the make-out sesh for the hotel room!”

Katie blushed when strangers turned to look in our direction, and I laughed. “How about we save it for the plane instead?” I whispered in her ear, and she gasped.

“Jesus, help me.” She threw her head back, swallowing the shot with a cringe. The tension she carried rolled from her shoulders when she laughed.

I grabbed her hand, possessively lacing my fingers with hers. Beside us, Ash and Jackson nuzzled their faces together, and Simone giggled at something Logan whispered in her ear. A smile stretched my cheeks, and when Katie pressed her lips against one, I turned my head towards her.

“I hate gin,” she whispered with a lucid giggle, her forehead pressed against the side of my head. Her laugh was quiet but consistent, and it made butterflies stir in my stomach.

When I licked my lips, she watched my tongue. “Kitten, are you feeling a bit tipsy?”

“Maybe,” she whispered. Her breathing was heavy, and I could sense the arousal pooling between her legs.

Before I could order her a water, the gate attendant called our boarding positions. People waiting in the rows of chairs looked at us as we walked by, Jackson and Logan clapping each other on the back in excitement, and Ash and Simone laughing close behind. Katie and I followed up the rear, and I was sure all the heads that turned in our direction were aimed directly at the denim shorts that lengthened her legs and kissed the bottoms of her ass cheeks. The same ones I’d looked at countless times this morning.

The third seat in our row was empty, and we settled in with my back to the window and Katie tucked under my arm. She let out a small giggle, and when I looked down at her, there was a mischievous glint in her eyes.

“What’s so funny?” I raised an eyebrow, stifling my own amusement. She was so giddy, like she was holding back a roaring laugh.

Shaking her head, she shushed me. “Nothing is funny.” Her face was suddenly serious, painted with lust. “I… just be cool, okay?”

“Be cool?” The words had barely left my lips when she was fidgeting with the button on my jeans. “What are you doing?”I asked her, pausing the movement of her hand against my waistband.

She chewed at her lip. “Something that scares me. Do you trust me?”Fuck.

I nodded, letting go of her hand and letting her slide the zipper on my pants down just enough to give her access to my already hardening cock. She closed her fingers around it, and I bit back a hiss, looking around the plane. With slow, deliberate movements, Katie slid her hand along my erection, pausing to run her finger along each individual bar on the way.

“These are really hot,” she whispered, but not quietly enough to go unheard, and my dick twitched in her hand when the couple in front of us turned their heads slightly. Did they know what was going on?

I don’t care.

“So are you.” My voice was strained, and she hummed in satisfaction, picking up her pace and milking my cock with each stroke. “Fuck. You’re killing me here.” I looked around us, making sure nobody else had noticed her hand moving more quickly now in my jeans. She picked up her pace, and my balls tightened when she leaned in and kissed my neck.

“Come for me, Auston. Please?” The need in her voice mixed with the demand pushed me over the edge, and I let out a quiet grunt. She smiled to herself, pulling her hand from my jeans and placing it gently on my thigh. “Yeah, just like that.”

She rested her head against my shoulder, letting out a satisfied giggle before she closed her eyes. I tightened my arm around her.

“Jesus, Katie,” I said, running my hand down her arm. There was no way I was going to make it out of this weekend without falling in love with her.Maybe I already was.

The airport in Las Vegas was loud, bustling with whistling slot machines, loud music, and a crowd of people who were either excited or obviously hadn’t slept in days. Katie and Simone practically skipped on either side of Jackson, the three of them linked at the elbows.

“Viva Las Vegas,” the three of them sang through still slightly inebriated giggles.

Next to me, Logan groaned, but the smile on his face contradicted the sound of annoyance. “We’re going to hear that damn song all weekend, aren’t we?”

“Yep.” I clapped him on his shoulder, and Ash laughed. “I’ll bet that by the end of the weekend, you’ll be singing it too.”

“Doubtful.” Logan huffed before moving into a slow jog and catching up to the others, wrapping his arms around Simone’s waist.

“We’ll see,” Ash and I said at the same time, turning to each other. I laughed, putting my hand up for a high five.

Katie turned around to face me, crinkling her nose and pursing her lips like she was holding back a smile or laugh. It was the look of mischief I’d seen on her face more than once in the couple of weeks I’d been spending time with her.

“I have an idea,” she said.Mischief.

“What’s up?” I put my arm around her when we caught up, leaning in to brush my nose along her neck. She smiled and pointed to a row of flashing machines. Seriously? “You want to play the penny slots?”

She nodded, chewing at the inside of her lip. “Come on. Bet one dollar, and maybe you’ll win the cab fare!”
