“Uh-huh.” I swiped my tongue along my lip, and when Auston locked eyes with me, they darkened. A warmth traveled to my center, and I adjusted my weight onto the other foot. His chest against mine was hard, and I sucked in a deep breath, inhaling his scent.
“And you came all the way here just to bring them to me?” He lowered his lips to my neck, pressing a small kiss to the spot behind my ear.
“Yes.” My voice came out like a whisper.
Auston trailed his lips up my neck, pressing small kisses to my jaw. “Just to bring me brownies… Nothing else?”
I hummed, shivering against him when he ran his teeth along the point where my jaw met my ear. “Mm-hmm. Just the brownies.”
He used his hand to frame my chin, turning my gaze to face his and pressing his lips to mine. Pulling back, he hovered so his mouth barely touched mine. “You and I both know that’s not true, don’t we?” I nodded, dropping every bit of defense I had.Fuck me.“That’s okay. Iloveyour brownies. You can bring them to me any time you want.”
I opened my mouth, welcoming his tongue when he slid it between my lips. His grip on my chin was stiff but gentle, and as he explored my mouth, my body trembled. A warm, throbbing need built between my legs, and I whimpered.
“If you wanted me to fuck you, babe, you should’ve just called.”
Glaring at him, I stepped back. “I really did just want to bring you the brownies.” The way my voice cracked on the last word blew my composure, and I blushed, pressing my thighs together.
“Mm-hmm. I see. So, you don’t want to stay for a drink with me?”
His hazel eyes lit up when I nodded and shrugged. “I think I could probably stay for one.”
When we walked to the front of the bar, Logan and Simone were staring at us. Auston’s arm was tight around my waist, and I walked comfortably pressed against his side. “Aww, thenewlyweds!” Simone cheered, grabbing onto Logan’s arm and preening in our direction.
Auston nuzzled my neck, and I could tell by his chuckle that the heat growing in my cheeks was already turning them a deep red. “What do you want to drink, Mrs. Johannson?” he asked, inhaling against my skin.
I nudged him, shooting a warning glance in his direction and looking quickly around the bar. I fidgeted, twisting the simple diamond ring around my finger. If I hadn’t worn it to the bar, Auston’s friends would’ve asked questions. At least that’s what I told myself.
“Gin and tonic,” I said sheepishly.
He raised an eyebrow, grabbing the bottle of Hendrick’s from the shelf and filling a glass with some ice and soda water. When he squeezed the lime, he licked the juice from his fingers, andI chewed at the inside of my lip, realizing he hadn’t poured any gin. The warmth settled between my legs when he poured the shot into his mouth, leaning over the counter and spitting it into the glass.
I sucked my bottom lip and bit down as he licked the leftover gin from his lips. My mouth watered. Logan and Simone watched with wide eyes as Auston slid the glass across the counter to me. “Mrs. Johannson.” He smirked, and Simone swooned behind him.
Without a word, I took a long sip of the drink, licking my lips and narrowing my eyes. I adjusted, rubbing my thighs together. Auston winked when he noticed, running his thumb over his lip.
“I swear it, you guys are thecutest!” Simone said, reminding me we weren’t alone in the bar.
“She just makes me look good,” Auston said without missing a beat, leaning over the bar and pressing his lips to mine. “Don’t you, kitten?”
I shivered, a desperate heat pooling between my legs as I remembered the way he’d made me fall apart in the mirror. My brows lifted, thinking about his hands doing only what I’d told him to and about the way he’d dropped to his knees. Blinking, I realize the three of them were staring at me, and when I chewed the inside of my lip and covered my face, they burst out in a chorus of room-filling laughs.
“Like I said”— Simone winked— “the cutest.”
“You need to relax,” I said, pulling the broom from Katie’s hands. “You’ve swept this floor three times. Why are you so nervous?”
She rubbed her arm, causing her cleavage to almost spill out of her top. “I just want to make sure the house looks good. We’re having people over!”
“We?” When I lifted my eyebrow, she smiled, and her eyes lit up. She swallowed, my eyes following the slight bob in her throat. “Like I said, relax. It’s just the same degenerates you’ve spent plenty of time with over the last few months.”
She chuckled at the nickname, and some of the pressure visibly rolled from her shoulders. “I just want it to all be perfect—”
I stood up from the chair, quickly gathering her in my arms and gripping her chin with my hand. “Youare perfect. It doesn’t matter what your house looks like or whoweare having over.”
Her lips were soft when she pressed them against mine, and she hummed, resting her body against me. “You’re right. I do need to relax.”
Katie tossed her arms around my neck, pulling me closer and deepening the kiss. I pushed my tongue past her lips, sliding it along hers, and when I pulled away, she groaned. “Yes, you do.”
“Maybe you should help me with that.” She leaned over the island in the kitchen, sticking her ass out and wiggling it as the door opened.
