“Deep breaths. You’re doing so well.” I preened at his words, falling against the couch when my legs weakened beneath me. He continued his gentle massage of my G-spot while he slowly thrust until he was completely sheathed. “Fuck, you feel so good.”
“Auston, oh my god! Please keep going.”
When he pulled back out and thrust back in, a low guttural cry fell from my lips, and I dropped all of my weight against the furniture. Auston held my hips, gripping and pulling me back to meet each of his thrusts.
My body was on fire, another impending orgasm building in me with an intensity I’d never experienced. I gasped for a full breath between moans I couldn’t muffle. Auston’s consistent groans behind me pushed me over the edge.
“Fuck, kitten! You’re squeezing my cock. You love this, don’t you?” He increased his speed, close to his own release.
“Yes. Auston, yes!”
When he came, he gripped my hips tighter, bending down and pressing his mouth to the center of my back. I felt empty when he pulled away, my cheeks warm. “You’re blushing,” he said, running his fingers along my face and brushing my loose hair over my shoulder. He pressed his lips to the side of my head, breathing in the scent of my hair. “I think you loved that. Am I right?”
I nodded, pausing to gnaw on my lip. “I really liked it. I want to keep doing things that scare me, Auston.”
His lips were soft against the side of my temple before he bent down to grab his clothes. “Then let’s do things that scare us.”
“But what happened to just one night?”
“We’re friends, right? Maybe sometimes friends just do things tohelpeach other. I meant what I said. I can be that for you.” He brushed his fingertips across my cheek, winking before he pulled his shirt over his head and turned towards the door. “I should get going, though. I have a pretty early morning.”
I nodded. “Thank you for yourhelptoday.”
The door closed behind him when he left, and I ran my hands up my forearms until I was hugging myself. I could still feel the way he’d stretched me, my legs tingling when his truck started. This wasn’t something good girls did.
What are you thinking, Katie?
“Earth to Auston. Are you even hearing me, my dude?” Logan slapped his hand against my back, bringing my attention back to the growing hum of the bar around me. It was a Thursday night—ladies’ night—and that meant we were packed.
Ash walked back behind the bar with a stack of empty glasses coated with lipstick. “He’s off in his own world again, huh?”
“Excuse me?” I whipped around to face my friends with my arms crossed over my chest. “What isthatsupposed to mean?”
“I just mean you’ve obviously been a bit distracted this week,” Ash said with a gentle pat on my arm. “Honestly, after seeing the way you looked at your girl last weekend, I’m not surprised at all. She has a bit of a hold on you!”
Did she?I thought about the way I hadn’t wanted to share Katie with my friends, and also about the way she’d trusted me to share her fears and let me take that piece of her. It’d been a couple of days since I’d talked to her, as if my hand didn’t hover over her name hourly.
“She doesn’t.”
Logan and Ash erupted into laughter that rivaled the volume of the music playing over the sound system. “You’re fucking joking.” Logan tossed a rag at me, and I swiped my hand across the bar with a roll of my eyes.
“We’re just having some fun.” I wasn’t lying. We were almost like real friends—if real friends fucked each other over the back of a couch. At least we weren’t arguing. I chuckled. “What were you saying that was so important?”
Logan smiled. “Dude, relax. You know we really like Katie, right? She’s great for you, and you’re a lot less ugly when you’re smiling.”
I threw the rag at him, hitting him in the face and laughing when he flipped me off. “Fuck off.” He was right, though. I did know they all loved her. A twinge of guilt stabbed at me when I thought about the fact that I’d have to break off our fake relationship at some point, likely hurting her and my friends.
“Excuse me,” said a voice through the sound of the bar. I turned in the direction, landing on a couple of women who stared at me with cheeky grins on their faces. I recognized the one who had spoken; she’d come in here with Katie. Was she here somewhere too?
I quickly scanned the bar, not seeing her and swallowing the disappointment. “What can I get you ladies?”
Without surprise, they both ordered a vodka cranberry. As I poured, they stared at me. “You’re Andy’s brother, right?” the girl I didn’t recognize asked.
“I am.” I gave a curt nod, taking another visual tour of the bar. “Is Katie here too?”
I passed the drinks over the counter, meeting a skeptical look. “She had to work late today and was too tired to go out. I’ll let her know you asked about her.” She winked, tossing a twenty on the counter and walking away.
Ash and Logan stared at me when I turned to put the cash in the register. “Don’t even start,” I scolded them, unwilling to hear any more comments about how head over heels I was for my twin sister’s best friend. It wasn’t true.
