She rushes to my side, aided by magic. "Time to take him out?"

"Yes, and I need your help."

I brainstorm with her briefly, and she nods her head as she accepts my plan. "Let's do this thing."

Hold on,I tell the guys through our bond, and watch my six. I'm going to need everything you've got

Teller is protected by a powerful stream of magic that flows out of him in the form of a shield. It connects him to the wellspring, to Klaus and Eli, and to the vampire-summoning portals. He uses it to feed the human weapons around us, which tear through werewolf bodies and explode beneath our nimble feet.

But when he came up with his conquering plan, he didn't factor in so much resistance. He didn't realize that he'd be facing an omega capable of channeling magic.

With a best friend who's nearly as powerful a witch as he is standing by her side.

Ali forms a shield in front of me, a small one concentrated with all her power. She has to drop her other shields to make it, which leaves the guys to protect the River Pack warriors. They're able to do so with Victoria's help, as she's willing to risk anything, even burning out, to save her people.

With the shield in front of me, I'm able to walk through his stream of magic. I push against his power, digging my feet in and gritting my teeth as I head towards him.

Right to where he stands, trying desperately to throw magic at me only for it to slide away.

Because I can feel it now, too. With so much ancient magic around me, I can sense it in my soul.

Just like I can channel the guys' magic, I can channel Ali and Teller's magic too.

It comes to me, instinctual and raw, making my fingertips glow white. The magic is desperate for a target—it threatens to tear me up if I don't channel itsomewhere.

So I use it to slice through the last of his protections.

And put my hands on the Fury Pack wellspring, right next to his, digging my fingers into its ancient stone.

Power erupts at my fingertips. I can see the bonds of threads all around me, bright enough to light up every shadow. They burn with fire and fury, the nomadic people of the Fury Pack fierce and powerful, just like their destined leader.

Tearing them away from Klaus and Teller, I rewrite things thecorrectway.

The flaming bonds burn through the air and sizzle on fur as they connect to Adar and his pack. Throwing his head back, the Keeper of the Flame howls in fury and might as he regains his power and restores his people.

Joining him in his joy are the Fury Pack warriors, their howls tinged with grief for all that they've lost. I can sense generations of Fury Pack warriors behind their voices, lending their grief and their strength.

With the world right side up again, and every single wellspring restored to its rightful owner, the gods become that much more powerful.

Adar's fire burns through the remaining vampires, smoking them to ash in an instant. Ali rips away Teller's magic, siphoning it into the River and Fury wellsprings to restore them. The portals drop, leaving nothing but the human army with its weapons.

Weapons that crack apart and fall to the ground without magic on their side. Without the ability to throw powerful magic at werewolves, they reach for their guns and their knives, which the warriors easily overwhelm. Suddenly they have to be afraid of us again, and for that I'm glad—every bigot that went to Teller's side deserves to pay for all this bloodshed.

Speaking of. The man in charge should suffer the most.

I go for Teller, but he teleports away before I can even touch him. Fury rises up in me powerful and sharp. I channel it into the wellspring, which loves the fiery emotion, drinking my magic and my strength up.

Now that Teller is gone, only his lackeys remain. Eli falls to his knees, surrendering with the remaining werewolf warriors from his original Great Lakes pack. There are few of them left, and his bonds to them are faded and threadbare, destroyed by his betrayal.

Around us, the army is decimated, leaving very few humans. The vampires, quickly realizing their options are limited, slaughter the remaining humans and get away as fast as they can. They melt into the shadows, unable to run back home through their portals, most of their covens destroyed.

Leaving only Klaus remaining at the head of the straggling army.

I meet his eyes from the darkness, the Fury wellspring still in my hands.
