“None. As a matter of fact, I know my wife well. She is not allowed to be frugal.” Madeline slaps my chest.

“You really do, don’t you?” I look up at Olivia.

I nod.

“Behave Beloved.” I reach into my pocket and withdraw my wallet, sliding my credit card over to Mackenzie.

“You’re going to regret this.” She snatches it up and shakes the black Amex card over her head.

“Alright, ladies. Let’s go spend this fool’s money.” The women start giggling and rushing from the room, but Madeline hasn’t moved a muscle.

“Any traditions or special requirements I should know about?” I shake my head.

“Only to love me for the rest of our days.” I kiss her nose and slap her ass.

“Get going. Your friends are ready to bankrupt me.” She snorts and saunters off.

“I think I should stay and help with the coven. Nico can handle the shopping trip.” I snort.

“Are you afraid you’ll hurt Emma?” He looks at me, and I’m shocked to see fear in his eyes.

“I’m afraid I’ll fuck her.” Shaking my head at the floor so he can’t see my grin, I stand and walk over to my oldest friend.

“Would that be so bad?” I grab his shoulder and try to get him to relax.

“World damning.”

“Oh, I love that one.” Emma gushes about the gown I’m wearing in up on a fucking petal stool.

I swear Gaius found the swankest bouquet in all of London. The place has some French name I can’t pronounce, and the owner was installed when I called her a seamstress rather than the ‘Artist that she is.’

Mak immediately told her to take her attitude and fuck off, or she’d lose our business. Gaius smoothed it over, though, and now we’re all tipsy on champagne, and I’m on my seventh dress.

“It’s itchy,” I try to scratch, and the lady helping me sighs.

“It is the finest lace.” I shrug at her, not seeing what that has to do with my itchy skin.

“Try this one,” Abbie comes over with a bundle of satin over her arm.

It’s simple, understated, and so her that I smile.

“Ok, hand it here.” I take the dress and carefully walk to the dressing room to change.

I’m stepping into the gown when a commotion starts in the store. The curtain behind me is ripped open suddenly, and I’m staring at a woman I’ve never seen before.

No, wait. Not a woman. A vampire.

Her red eyes narrow at me, and she hisses as she sees my ring. Mak comes up behind her and grabs her shoulder.

“Hey bitch! Get your own dressing room.” The vampire swats Mak away, and she flies across the room.

I growl and grab the bitches arm, twisting it until it pops at the elbow. Mak is up and rushing back over when Gaius walks into the dressing area with a bored expression on his face.

“Oh, it’s you. Sylvia, your presence here is unwanted. I believe an invite was extended to the ceremony this evening however, in light of you attacking the wedding party, I’m sure Lady Mathias will be rescinding it.” He brushes his shoulders off and pulls down his shirt, adjusting his cuff links.
