“Then don’t.” I leave the hall and bump right into Emma.

“Christ, why can’t I sense you coming? You would think with that stench you insist on wearing, I would smell you a mile away!” I pinch my nose to stop the overly sweet apple smell from making me gag.

She slaps me hard enough to rock me on my feet.

I turn my face back to her, dropping my hand from my nose to look down at her. Her ears are bright red, and her eyes are livid. Hmm, playing with this firecracker is going to be fun.

“Harder, darling. I like it rough.”

I’m careful not to take too much of her blood, but her taste makes me forget myself. I gently pull away and lay her limb body on the bed. Her pussy spasms around me in protest, and I smile as I look done where we’re still joined.

“I could blissfully live inside you for centuries, Beloved. However, I think we need to give your muscles a nice long rest.” I slowly pull out as I talk to myself.

A growl breaks the silence of the house, and I frown.

I blur to the loo and wash up before returning to Madeline’s sleeping body to clean her as well.

“What is this?” My bite mark is completely healed, and the bruise that was forming is gone.

I sensed that something was different this time, but her healing so quickly amps up my suspicions.

“What are you?” I whisper as I kiss her lips.

I rush from the room to check on the others and round the corner to the hallway the ladies are staying in, coming to a complete stop.

“Harder, darling. I like it rough.” Gaius says to Emma, who he has backed up against the wall.

I’m not sure if he’s going to kiss or kill her.

“Am I interrupting?” I announce my presence, and they both answer me with completely different responses.

“Yes.”

“No,” I grin at Emma as she eliminates the space between them.

“Just because you are built like a God and smell like heaven does not mean I will let you push me around, insult me, or belittle me.” Now, I really feel like a voyeur.

The sexual tension rolling off these two is insane. I lean my shoulder on the wall and cross my arms.

“Leave,” Gaius hisses cupping her cheek.

“Not a fucking chance, mate.” I chuckle as sparks start to appear around his temples.

I’ve seen him lose total control once in all our years of friendship. It was brief, but I remember thinking I was hit by lighting. I’ve never outright asked him if he was an Angel because he would just deny it and say he was more of a Demon. Semantics, I’d say.

“Erik,” He warns, and I raise my hands in defeat.

“Fine, but if you hurt her, my mate will be very put out. Please don’t force me to find a way to kill you. I have plans for tomorrow.” He snorts, and the sparks die down as I leave the hallway.

I head down to the kitchen and find Nico with his head in the fridge.

“You smell like her now.” Not that I mind his statement, but I did clean up, which means there’s more to it.

“How so?” I grab a plate and walk over to the pantry to retrieve a few items.
