“Hey, whatever, man,” he says with a feral smile, his hands raised in the air. “You can’t blame a boy for trying to ride your fine ass.”

“Brantley, if I was that way inclined, I wouldn’t be the bottom,” I say with a dark chuckle, it’s always been this back and forth between us. “Now, since you know I’m here, what the fuck were them girls on about?”

“Ah, news spread fast around here, Ky. I thought it was your brother when I heard a Frost was coming to town,” he says with a wince, he was the first one I told when I found out I had a twin.

“Anything I need to worry about?” I ask, my voice thick with command, falling into the same dynamic we’ve always had. I always led our group, making decisions, and he was the one to find out all the information we needed to survive. His eyes widen a fraction, before he steps closer.

“Keep an eye out for Warrick and his crew, there’s a lot of bad blood between them and the Frosts.” His head whips around, eyeing the area, like the advice is treason or some shit, he’s tense as his eyes meet mine again. Fucking great, that’s all I need, it’s going to be a case of guilty by association.

“I just want to stick to my end of the deal I made with Bo,” I say.

A new sense of determination fills me; the quicker I can get this year over with and get out of this place, the more I won’t feel like I owe my brother’s girlfriend. I check the time on my watch, my brows jumping to my hairline as I see that I’ve got five minutes to find my class.

“Shit, dude, I gotta go,” I say to him, holding my fist up. I wait, and he looks at it more than me. Bumping his fist with mine he laughs, but concern flickers across his face.

“Just watch out for yourself, okay?” I nod, turning on my heels, and I take off across the quad to the building tucked away behind the main building. The one hiding is smaller, but this is the one that houses the university classes.

My strides eat up the ground as I make my way quickly through the doors of the building. The only thing going for this place are the signs at the end of the corridor telling you which way to the different class numbers. My eyes scan the numbers, and I breathe a sigh of relief as I take off down the first corridor, pushing through the door with my class numbers on. The professor isn’t here, thank fuck, but the noise that was there is now gone. All eyes in the room turn to me, and I glare at them. Some have the decency to squirm under my gaze, but a few of them glare right back from the protection of their little group. My top lip curls up in a snarl, the sound building in the back of my throat, but it cuts off as my gaze connects with a narrowed set of my eyes. The pull into their depths is instant as I stare at the beauty I saw last week. I’ll admit she was in my thoughts over the weekend for an unhealthy amount of time, but fuck. My dick is semi-hard as my eyes sweep over the length of her taut little body.

“Keep your eyes off my girl.” The words come from my right, but I pay no mind to the owner of the voice, my gaze intent on her. “Did you hear me, fuck face? Take your eyes off my girl.”

I break the connection with her, turning my head to the right. I get a good look at the owner of the voice and I quirk a brow. Wow, I should have known he would be a preppy asshole. He’s a little smaller than me and built just as wide as I am. I’m certain he’s either the quarterback of the college team or the captain of one of the other teams.

“Who the fuck are you to command me?” I say nastily, looking at the other two flanking behind the leader of this shit show.

“Name’s Warrick, Frost, and you’re in my fucking school now,” he says with a savage smile on his face. The room is so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. “Me and you are going to have a little discussion after class.”

“Is that so?” I step closer to him, bringing us nose to nose. “I’ll look forward to it,” I say, my smile is huge as I gnash my teeth together. I walk up the aisle to the seat furthest to the back. Dropping down into it, a roar fills the air as the douche comes charging up between the seats. I cock my head with a savage grin, my seat is right next to the beauty who’s caught my attention.

“Everyone, take your seats now,” the professor booms from the front of the class, “That means you too, Mr. Bowers.” His gaze promises pain as I smile up at the asshole, and the professor clears his throat again. With a grumble, the dude takes a seat further down in the middle of the class. So much for keeping your head down, asshole!

“My name is Professor Demetrius, and now that’s out of the way. Let’s get started, shall we?”

Isit extreme to want to stab myself in the eyeball with my pen? Because fuck my life. If the rest of my classes end up being as boring as the one I’ve just spent the last hour sitting through, I’m going to kill myself. I paid attention as much as I could, but honestly, the person next to me was more exotic than I thought she would be. The scent of strawberries and vanilla kept filling my nose with every breath I took, and I am so beholden to the smell that I purposely took extra breaths just to have it in my system. My eyes stayed glued to the side of her head, watching every little movement of her face.

“What’re you looking at, creepo?” the girl tries to sound mean, and I chuckle as her eyes narrow on me. She sounds more like a pup trying to learn to growl.

“I get under your skin, don’t I, beauty?” The words come out as a purr, catching the attention of the red-head sitting next to her. Her gaze bounces between us, the what-the-fuck expression she throws to my new friend makes me smile at her, and I chuckle as her eyes widen and she gulps, her cheeks flushing bright red.

“Well, you’re a cutie, aren’t you?” I say to the other girl. My smile widens as I push to my feet, and all eyes in the room are on us. I take the two steps it takes to bring me in front of her table, and lift her hand, planting a kiss on her knuckles. She giggles as I pull away with a wink. Gagging sounds fill the air, as the girl in front of me turns red again, her head snapping to her friend.

“Jesus, Lux, you're seriously going to fall for that shit?” the black haired one says with a hiss, her eyes rake over me. A hint of lust shows itself in her eyes, but as quickly as it came, it’s gone.

“Just because you're with the asshole, Warrick, don’t get on my ass, Sam,” the red-head snaps, yanking her hand out of my grip. She throws all her stuff into her backpack, pushing back her chair with a screech, and jumps to her feet, storming out of the room without a backward glance.

“So, you’re with the jock then?” I say with a dark chuckle, my eyes take her in because I wouldn’t peg her being with someone like that. She doesn’t fit the mold.

“So what if I am, dickhead, you don’t know me,” she says with a clipped voice. Pushing to her feet, she aggressively stuffs all her belongings into her rucksack. “A bit of advice for you, Frost,” she sneers. “Stay well out of Warrick’s way.”

“Aw, are you worried about my safety, Sam?” The sound of her name across my lips sounds so sensual, I notice her eyes widen and her throat dip at the sound. “Don’t worry, Shadow, I’m not worried about your ex-boyfriend.”

“Ex?” she chuckles with a delicious sound, and her brow quirks as she pulls the bag higher on her shoulder. “The stories about the Frost twins are true then? You may have grown up separately but you're both identical in how sure of yourselves you are.” she barks a laugh, taking off toward the door with me hot on her heels. “You guys really do love yourselves if you think a girl is going to fall for all that false charm.”

I reach out to grab her arm as she steps out into the chaos of the corridor, but my hand only catches air. My eyes narrow and brows scrunch into a frown, my head whipping left and right as I try to spot her black hair hidden somewhere within the mass of bodies. But there’s no sign of her.Where the fuck did she go?

“You ready for our chat, dickwad?” a voice booms from my right, stopping all the noise from the other students in an instant.
