My eyes roll back as his fingers slip past my underwear, stroking me up and down, gathering my slick and teasing my entrance with a finger. “Asher, please.”
He pushes a finger inside me, and I buck against him as he presses his lips to my ear. “When I take you, Nova, I’ll make you call me master.”
My pussy ripples around him as he thrusts, adding a second finger and curling it in a way that makes my legs shake.
“I’ll call you master,” I gasp. “But only if you catch me.”
“Fuck,” he hisses. Any pretence of civility is gone as he fucks me with his hand, the wet noises obscene as he slides in and out. “I’ll catch you, Nova Chevnik. I can’t wait to watch you scream as you come around my cock.”
My release is brutal, and I curl myself over his arm as the wave crests into lasting tremors of pleasure. Asher pulls his fingers out of me gently, and I’m lifted into his arms as the last of the shudders die down and I’m left a shaking, trembling mess.
Asher presses a kiss to my lips. “Fucking perfect. Just like I knew you would be.”
I stretch my arms out lazily, enjoying the way he holds me. “Tonight?”
He nods. “I’ll bring you something to wear to bed.”
My lips part in surprise. “To bed?”
Asher nuzzles my hair. “I’m going to kidnap you, Nova Chevnik. Tonight, you’re mine.”
Chapter twenty-three – Asher
AnxietyisnotsomethingI generally suffer with, but as I stand in front of Nova’s doorway with her gift in my hands, I finally recognise the heaviness in my chest for what it is.
I hope I don’t fuck this up. I know what I am, and it’s the reason I’ve only ever done this under strict conditions, with partners who I don’t see again and who are required to sign highly complex non-disclosure agreements.
I’m not asking Nova for any of that. Our relationship shouldn’t be limited by any sort of legal agreement.
But tonight could shift the scales. It could bring us closer together, or it could push her so far away from me that we might never find our way back.
Tonight, she gets to see the real me.
Her door opens, and she grins at me, a hint of color still in her cheeks from our activity earlier. There’s excitement too, and her eyes widen as she spots the golden tissue in my hands.
Clearing my throat, I hand it to her. “This is for you to wear tonight. Keep your hair down. Bare feet.”
Her nose wrinkles. “In the forest?”
I nod. The land belongs to me. I’m the only person who goes there, and I know there’s nothing there that could hurt her because that’s exactly how I designed it. “It’s safe, but your feet might be a little sore tomorrow.”
She takes a deep breath. “I’m… looking forward to it.”
I watch her face closely, but there’s no duplicity in the way she smiles at me, lifting her face up for a kiss. “I promise, Asher. I can do this.”
Nodding, I lean against the door. “If you change your mind, you need a safe word. Pick something you’ll remember. It’s the only thing that will make me stop, Nova. Do you understand?”
Her pupils dilate. “Yes,” she breathes. Her eyes drop as she thinks, her brow furrowing briefly before it clears again.
There’s a secret smile on her face. “Cherry bakewell.”
My smirk tips the corners of my mouth. “Memorable. Get to bed now. You’ll need some rest before tonight.”
“Yes, sir.” She says the words with a wink before the door closes, and I hear her laughter on the other side.
Grinning, I head to my room. I have some preparation to do.
