"It's our honeymoon," I explained.

"Well, hell," Hound muttered, still surprised.

"What's going on?" I asked, worried by the urgency in his voice.

"Jameson's been trying to reach you. Everyone in the goddamn club has."

"I shut off my phone. I needed some privacy," I admitted, standing up and searching through my bag for my cell phone.

As soon as I turned it on, a flurry of missed calls and text messages flooded in. "Oh shit," I muttered, realizing the gravity of the situation.

"You might want to call your President back. He was pretty pissed when I spoke to him," Hound advised.

I saw missed calls from Jameson, Scorn, and Snare, as well as a few from an unknown number. "I'll do that," I replied, feeling a knot form in my stomach as I stared at Jameson's number.

“Shit’s going down, so if you need to get out of here you’re welcome to stay at the clubhouse. Of course, I’m sure your wife would be much more comfortable here, but if need be.”

“I appreciate that, brother.” I patted him on the shoulder as he headed for the door.

“You take care of yourself, Riddick. Don’t be a stranger.”

“I won’t. I appreciate you coming all this way.”

“And hey, if something is going down you‘ll let me know?

“Of course.”

“Make sure to watch your back. I won’t be around to help you out there.”

“Where you headed.”

“I’ve got my own demons to handle. But you know where to find me.”

“Will do.”

As soon as he left, I called Jameson. He picked up the phone on the first ring.

“Where the hell have you been!” He bellowed angrily.

“Sorry, Prez. I just needed some down time, ya know.”

“Next time you go MIA like that, I’m gonna hang you from your balls, you hear me?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Have you heard from Snare?” he asked.

“I’ve got some missed calls, probably from him. Some unknown numbers to.”

“Listen to me, Riddick. This is serious. I need you to find Snare and bring him home.” He instructed.

“Home? What the hell is going on?”

“It looks like he was attacked back at the bar. When we got there…hell, man, place looks bad.”

“Jesus.”

“I don’t know what’s going on but he’s with that girl. Your wife’s friend.”
