"It's a large piece of property. She could be anywhere," Wraith said. "And if the whole southern part of the country in blanketed in this fucking fog, it would be hard to see."
"There's more," Sin said, pulling his phone back out. "Phinneas was seen leaving through the gate on the camera. He never told anyone he was going, and she was convinced we had the wrong location. She told Alex as much. There is a chance she went with him or that he took her unwillingly."
"Where would he take her?" Carmichael asked. "I never liked that bastard."
"Was William with her?" Gabriel looked at Sin hopefully. "It's just a thought?"
"I didn't think to ask, but I can tell you right now." He opened an app on his phone, pulling up a GPS tracker. "His collar is tagged." A blue dot popped up on a map. "He's in Cumbernauld. What the hell's in Cumbernauld?"
"The mermaid sculpture, Arria," Wraith said. "Primrose is obsessed with all the sculptures along the M80."
"Let's go," Sin said. "She was right all along."
Gabriel started the van, pulling out onto the street. "Carmichael, call Alex and let him know the change of plans."
Sin looked out the window at the sea of white. Damn it. He had already let her down once, he couldn't do it again. Hold on, my love.
