My phone pings around eight at night, just as Luna is going off to bed. I open it to see a message from Calvin.
Calvin: Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for a lovely weekend; I really enjoyed myself. As promised, I have spoken to the guys about everything. As I told you, they were fine, and there is no expectation on you for anything else to happen with me or them. We are all happy for this to stay as it is, or if you want more when with one of us, then what happens, happens. So please don’t worry about anything. See you during the week, darling. Night. Xx
I read through the message a few times before letting out a deep breath and opening the message from Drew. When I got home, I messaged him to say I had sorted out a babysitter for Thursday and could attend the meal with him.
Drew: Thanks, Chels. Let me know how much they charge, and I will pay it. I will pick you up at seven fifteen; it’s only a restaurant in town. Looking forward to seeing you. Goodnight. Xx
Looking at the time stamps, Drew's message came after Calvin’s, so he would have already spoken to him at that point. There doesn’t seem to be any signs that he is unhappy with me in the message, so maybe Calvin’s right and all is okay.
I have no idea what will happen with these guys, but I think I need to stop worrying; otherwise, I will make myself ill and not enjoy the time I get with three hot men.

Drew
I sit in the car and take a deep breath. I don’t know what I’m more nervous about, meeting with possible new clients for a huge contract? Or spending time with Chelsea? Part of me has been highly jealous of Calvin since he told me what happened the night of the function between them. Does this mean she likes him more than me? Is there no chance of her and I having our moment together? This woman has consumed my every dream, day and night, yet she chose my friend over me.
Calvin is convinced that she feels something for each of us. He told me what she said about not knowing what she wanted and now I’m hoping she will give me a chance to show her how good we could be because I know we could be amazing together.
I take one last breath and climb out of the car. I said I would drive tonight because we’re going to a restaurant. It’s best if we turn up together so Chelsea agreed to let me pick her up from her house. I understand why she is reluctant for us to come here; she has a child and is very protective of her daughter, which I can only respect.
I straighten my suit jacket before pressing the doorbell. In seconds, the door opens, and I see a mini version of Chelsea looking up at me.
“Are you Drew?”
For a second, I’m speechless as the last thing I expected was for her daughter to answer the door.
“Luna Louise your mother is going to kill you,” I hear another voice call before the little girl looks up at the tall newcomer. “Get inside out of the way,” they say to Chelsea's daughter gently pushing her away from the door before looking at me. “Sorry about that; Chels told Luna not to answer the door unless she knows who it is,” the young woman explains.
“It’s no bother. Is Chels ready?” I ask, smiling.
“I’m here!” I hear Chelsea call from inside, and my heart nearly stops when she comes into view.
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve seen Chelsea at work a few times wearing trousers or pencil skirt suits. But tonight, she is wearing a beautiful black fitted dress that stops above her knees. The full-length sleeves and black stiletto shoes complete the look. She looks beautiful and professional, and I personally would sign my soul to the devil himself to please her.
“Is this okay? Do you want me to change?”
I realise I’m staring with my mouth hanging open and close it quickly.
“You look perfect, don’t change a thing.” I hold out my arm, and she steps out of the door and hooks her arm through mine. “Are you ready?” I ask, unable to wipe the smile from my face. She nods once before looking over her shoulder to where the young woman is standing, grinning at the two of us.
“I won’t be late, make sure she’s in bed within the hour and keep the doors locked,” Chelsea orders. The girl solutes with a smile before closing the door; I listen to be sure that she has locked it as ordered. Within seconds, the tell-tale sound of a locking mechanism sounds out. I lead Chelsea to the car and open the passenger door for her. As she climbs in, I feel like I’m being watched and turn to see mini-Chelsea watching us through the window. I give her a small wave, and she waves back enthusiastically.
“I think we have an audience,” I chuckle to Chelsea, who looks to the window just as her daughter disappears from view.
“I should have known she would be nosey,” Chelsea sighs as I close the door and walk around to the driver's side.
“Who can blame her? She sees Mom dressing up and wants to know why,” I reply, climbing behind the wheel.
“Luna does what she wants, and no one can tell her otherwise.”
I laugh as I pull away from the house and head toward the restaurant.
“And I suppose you were as good as gold at her age?” I tease.
“Well, maybe she gets some of it from me,” Chelsea chuckles. “So, who are these people you are trying to impress tonight?” she asks.
“The guy is someone who Calvin knows through a friend. He is a contractor but the high end. He is looking for a new security firm to watch his sites. So, night watch men kind of thing. He’s had issues with thieves recently and vandalism. One of his guys was shot last week, so now he wants more experienced people.”
