“Yes.” Of course I did. But coming in front of people?
His purr added to everything. “Dance, sweetheart. No one’s watching us.”
“I don’t know if I can… in front of people.”
Ash laughed, one hand returning to my throat the way he’d held me upstairs. “Don’t forget how well I know you, Sloane. You wanted to see how far I’d go, so I’m going to take you all the way. Let go and give it to me.”
“And when we get home?”
“I’ll pin you to the bed exactly the way I wanted to.”
His middle finger pushed the vibrator more firmly against my clit, and I closed my eyes, letting him move us in the dance, giving myself over. It wasn’t immediate. So much was in my head, I still wasn’t sure I could get there in the middle of a crowd of people.
But those fingers around my throat tightened a fraction. “Trust me, Sloane.”
Trust him the way I hadn’t when I ran. The way I hadn’t when I thought he’d be disappointed to be matched with me. Trust him like I would be able to for the rest of our lives.
I came.
Pleasure rushed in out of nowhere, jerking my body against his and moaning into the hand that had slipped up to cover my mouth. A fizzy, bubbling, intoxicating burst of pleasure that flashed brighter than the club lights behind my eyes before the vibrations disappeared and we were just dancing again.
Thank fuck for scent cancellers. It didn’t do shit for me scenting my Alphas, because I was so attuned to them, and they to me. But it would knock back the scent of my orgasm for everyone else.
I looked up at the balcony to find both Jace and Gabriel’s eyes on me, like they knew exactly what was happening.
“You need a drink, sweetheart?”
I never got one before because I’d ended up in Roman’s lap. “Maybe not a bad idea.”
“Want to come with me, or keep dancing?”
Turning, I looked him up and down, teasing him with my eyes. “I think I like you waiting on me.”
He smiled, kissing me hard. “Don’t think I won’t tell Gabriel about you being sassy.”
I placed my hand on my chest, gasping in mock horror as we swayed. “Why, Asher West, I never took you for a tattle tale.”
“I’ll happily tattle if it gives me a chance to turn your tail red. Maybe we’ll take turns.”
It was like he hadn’t just made me come, the way my whole body lit up with arousal.
“Be right back.”
I danced by myself, in the center of my friends, basking in the feeling of happiness and calm, until a presence appeared behind me, hands on my hips. Taller. Roman was back.
“Sloane.” I saw Petra’s shocked face a second before the pleasant but not overwhelming scent of coconuts and limes wrapped around me. Spinning, it wasn’t my Alpha with his hands on me. It was Craig.
CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT
________
ROMAN
Icouldn’t get to her fast enough.
I’d gone to the bar to get a drink, and when Asher joined me there, I turned to look for our Omega. She danced like there was no one else in the club but her, with her friends and their packs around her.
Someone pushed through the crowd, and my entire body went stiff. Across the room, Alphas from the VIP area—Jace, Gabriel, and some of the others, flooded down the stairs. But Sloane was halfway between the two of us, and Craig was already too close. How the hell was he here?
