Matty coughed loudly. "No."
Rex reached up and covered my mouth. I ground my teeth as I reached the edge. As I orgasmed Matty continued to cough.
"Weird. I thought she came in here with Rex. Oh, maybe they are, ya know, upstairs," Sammy giggled.
"Maybe. You should go check," Jake said. "It would be funny."
"No, she deserves to get her world rocked. I'm gonna go lay down. If you see her, could you tell her that her book is here?" Sammy replied.
As soon as she left, Rex removed his hand. Matty and Jake let out sighs and I slumped down. Holy cow, that was close. We all busted out laughing at the same time.
"What's so funny?" Frankie stepped into the room with the rest of the group.
"Uh, nothing." Jake grabbed the bucket and set it on the counter. "We are preparing dinner."
CHAPTER14
Mal
Frankie hadto have known something was up. He refused to leave us alone. He even gutted some of the fish, horribly, but he still did it. He was so protective, I hated it.
Before dinner, we had a bonfire. The guys gathered some wood, and Frankie started the fire. It was chilly by the lake, but all I could think about was the night before.
"Should we get blankets?" Sammy asked. "I'm freezing."
"Yes please." Gabby rubbed her arms.
"I have some in the house," Frankie said as he stood.
"I can go get them," I offered.
"No, it's okay," Sammy and Frankie said at the same time.
"Sammy." Frankie turned to her. "You look after the fire, I'll go get them."
He walked off, and I looked at Sammy. She picked at her nails and stared at the fire. Frankie and Sammy usually got along really well. This weekend it was almost as if he was avoiding her. It didn't make sense.
Matty got up and started the grill. Rachel got up to help but he told her he had this meal. As long as I had known Matty, he had been cooking. His parents once said if he didn't do well as a teacher he could always fall back on cooking. Not that they would be happy with that, but it was better than not having a plan B.
Frankie showed back up and handed out blankets to everyone that was cold. When Sammy took one they didn't even look at each other. Very odd.
"So what are we doing tomorrow?" I asked. Maybe I would set my alarm and actually wake up at a reasonable time.
"Harry and I have to leave early." Donnie kissed Harry's hand.
"Yeah us too." Gabby nodded toward Larisa.
"Same here." Billy winked at Gabby.
"Don't worry, we will say goodbye tonight. We know you sleep in." Harry smiled.
"What can I say, I like sleep." I shrugged.
"So what are we gonna do tomorrow?" Rachel asked.
"There is a hiking trail on the north end of the lake. We could all go." Rex tossed another log on the fire.
We all agreed to go on the hike the next day, so I had to bite the bullet and actually wake up at a decent time. When it was time to call it a night, everyone said their goodbyes and went to their separate rooms.
