"Okay, I'm gonna say never been in love," I chimed in.

"Correct!" Gabby grinned, looking pleased with herself.

Next up was Larisa. "I've skydived. I can speak three languages fluently, and I'm a vegetarian," she said, calm and collected.

We all took turns guessing which statement was false, but no one could seem to figure it out. Finally, she revealed the lie. "I've skydived. I'm actually terrified of heights."

Soon, it was my turn. I tried to think of something interesting. Most of my life was boring. "Okay, I've read over a hundred books this year. I'm a virgin." I tapped my chin. "And I got lost for two days in the woods."

"Hold on." Matty held up his hand. "We all know you got lost in the woods. We were part of the search team."

A silence grew over everyone as they debated on which was the truth. The books, or my virginity.

"It's obvious." Rachel waved her hands around. "She's eighteen, the virgin one." Rachel sat back with a smug look on her face.

"Wrong. It's the books. I've only read sixty-two books this year." I sat back and smiled. Rex, Matty, and Jake all glanced at each other.

"I'll go next," Sammy said. "I've kissed three girls in one night, bungee jumped off a bridge, and broken a bone."

The group huddled together, trying to figure out which statement was the lie. I looked over at Sammy, knowing which one was the lie. Everyone else seemed to be contemplating which one was. Obviously, she seemed like the type of person to do all three.

"I'm going with the bone." Rex said, leaning back against the chair.

"Nope." Sammy grinned. Her eyes sparkled. "I've broken my arm twice."

"I'm going with the bungee jumping," Frankie answered.

"Correct!" Sammy exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air.

The group laughed and joked around, enjoying each other's company. I was relaxed and having a good time, something that hadn't happened in a while. As the night wore on and the embers died down, people started to head to bed.

At one point, it was only Rex, Matty, Jake, Sammy, and me left. I kept trying to get Sammy's attention so she would get the hint and go upstairs. I couldn't say anything without it being obvious that I wanted her to go.

Finally, Sammy got up and winked at me. I tried to keep my face steady and try not to show the fact that every atom of my being was excited to be left alone with them.

CHAPTER12

Mal

"Ready to finishthat game of truth or dare?" Jake winked at me.

My heart raced in my chest. This was it, my chance to potentially hook up with all three. I wasn't talking about sex, just some kissing. Okay, maybe a little more.

"Sure," I mumbled.

Matty went first, choosing dare. Jake grinned mischievously, "I dare you to do a 60-second lap dance for Mal."

I blushed furiously as Matty stood up, swaying his hips to an imaginary beat. I couldn't help but giggle as he shook his butt in my face. When the minute ended, we all clapped and cheered.

Rex went next, choosing truth. I asked him a mundane question, but when it was Jake's turn, he chose dare.

"I dare you to kiss Mal for 30 seconds," he said, his eyes never leaving mine.

My heart raced as Jake leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. It was a soft, sweet kiss, but it still made my head spin. When the timer beeped, I was gasping for air.

"Mal, truth or dare?" Jake asked as I was still panting.

"Dare," I said, trying to sound confident.
