Aidan pressed against her, both of them panting, until she nudged at him.

“Sorry,” he said, realizing he was squashing her, and then felt his come leak as he pulled out. Scooping her up, he went to the bathroom, grabbed a cloth, and began to clean her.

“Stop. I need to shower.”

Aidan used the washcloth and wiped himself as Lily turned the shower on and tugged off her dress. When he went to pull her into his arms, she shook her head and wouldn’t look at him.

“Lil...”

The hell?

“Nothing has changed, Aidan,” she said, her voice laced with regret.

“Bullshit. Look at me,” he ordered.

Her eyes lifted to his.

“This is something. You know it is.”

More fucking shaking of her pretty little head.

“I have a life in Chicago. My dad. My dreams. You know I don’t belong in your world,” Lily said.

The fuck she doesn’t.

Okay, maybe she doesn’t...

Aidan cursed.

She placed a palm on his chest. “I need to sleep. Go. We can talk when we get back to Oahu on Tuesday.”

Two fucking days. She expected him to just stand back and leave her alone for two days?

“Tomorrow. After the wedding,” Aidan countered. “I am not staying away from you, Lily. If you think I’m a man who will just give up, then you don’t know me.”

She smiled at him knowingly.

Oh, right? She didn’t know him. That was the point.

Shit.

He turned away and slammed his hands down on the bathroom counter, letting out a frustrated growl. Then he spun back around and gripped her face.

“One day,” Aidan said. “I’ll give you one fucking day, Lily. Then you’re mine.”

Aidan didn’t wait for her response. He knew she had doubts and concerns. Well, she could keep a hold of them for twenty-fucking-four hours. Then he was going to blast them all to smithereens.

Because once his brother was married and they were on their own back on Oahu, they were going to have a talk about their relationship.

Jesus, was he the only man on this planet forcing a conversation about feelings?

Fucking felt like it.

Aidan slammed his mouth done on hers. “Sleep well, peaches. You will need it tomorrow night.”

Her hand went to her mouth, her eyes full of confusion, as he backed away.

Then he tugged up his shorts and left.
