Lily shook her head at the huge spa bath, a shower with seven hundred shower heads—okay, fine, five—and two basins. On what appeared to be gold-plated hooks were two luxurious bathrobes and two pairs of fluffy white slippers on the floor below them.
She walked over and ran her hand over the silky robes and giggled. “I need more bodies.”
Knock knock.
Oh shit.
“God, I was only kidding.”
She stood there frozen, wondering what to do, because she knew exactly who it was. Lily wasn’t sure she was ready for this.
Maybe she could pretend she was asleep.
“Lily, open the door,” Aidan called out.
Crap. She padded across the hotel suite on her bare feet and reached the door.
“Now turn the handle,” he said quietly as if he could see through the door and knew she was standing there.
Lily drew in a deep breath and let it out.
Then opened the door.
Aidan walked straight in, grabbed her by the hips, let the door close behind them as his hand glided through her hair and bent her backward.
“Now, where were we, peaches?” he growled.
Lily gasped as his mouth smashed down on hers.
––––––––
WELL, WHAT DO YOU KNOW, Lily tastes like peaches up top as well. Aidan released her lips, after thoroughly kissing her gorgeous mouth, and waited for her to get her bearings.
He might have been doing the same thing because, damn, he was ready to fuck this woman.
“I’ve waited way too long to do that,” he said as she pulled in a ragged breath.
“You can’t just walk in here and kiss me,” Lily said and pulled out of his arms.
Yes, he could.
He had.
And he was just getting started.
“Just did,” Aidan said, squeezing her bottom as he walked past her and sat down on the sofa. Then he patted the cushion beside him. “Come, little peach.”
She hesitated, then padded over.
“Stop calling me that,” Lily said, and he grinned, grabbing her legs and pulling them across his lap after she sat.
“Why?” he asked, taking in the bandage on her foot. “How does this feel?”
“Sore, but the alcohol has helped,” Lily replied softly. “And you need to stop calling me that because it’s inappropriate.”
Liar.
That wasn’t at all why she didn’t like him calling her that.
