Shit, shit, shit.

Lily’s foot was aching. The glass had cut quite deep—not that she needed stitches, but enough she wobbled a bit walking back to the bar.

That and her pride was wounded.

She felt like such a tool in front of Aidan.

He was just as gorgeous as she remembered. Probably more. He might look like his brother and cousins—all of them insanely good-looking—but there was something magnetic about him. He was a little taller than all the others. Not as broad as Daniel but still very muscular, with what she could only describe as juicy, round biceps.

Aidan’s thighs were thick and powerful and, yes, Lily had checked out his ass when he’d first arrived. But it was those green eyes that sparkled full of mischief that undid her.

When they’d locked onto hers, it was as if they were reminding her he’d had his hand inside her panties not long ago.

Sure, it had been three months, but during that time Lily had fantasized about him way too many times.

Hence losing control of her senses and her cocktail smashing to the floor.

What an idiot.

Then Aidan had snuck up behind her, and she’d stepped on a piece of glass. The next minute, he had her in his arms and was carrying her away, whispering in her ear.

Lord.

She was not okay.

Aidan was playing with her, and they both knew it. Fine, she liked his attention because he was a very hot guy, but someone might hear the things he said.

Little peach.

Gah!

Firstly, vaginas do not smell or taste like fruit. Anyone who tries to claim that is either sticking fruit in their va-jay-jay and will end up with a UTI, or slapping some highly perfumed chemical crap on it, and, same deal.

Secondly, he needed to stop talking dirty to her.

He made her feel all...wobbly.

And warm.

Aidan seemed to thrive on shaking her foundations. His smirks and dirty glances. Lily wasn’t as confident and outspoken as some of the women here but then again this wasn’t her world.

She was surrounded by successful people and billionaires. It wasn’t an even playing field and his poking make her feel a little uncomfortable.

Vulnerable.

But, Lily couldn’t ignore that when Aidan was close, and when he’d held her in his arms, not only did a flush of arousal shoot through her, she felt almost safe.

Grounded.

Lily joined Emma, Olivia, and Fletcher as she reached the bar, and they pulled out a barstool for her. She climbed onto it and turned to face out across the pool, avoiding Aidan’s glances.

When I come for you, you’ll know.

Holy hell. There was no way she could let what happened in Philly take place again.

No way.

Lily blamed the champagne. It was Cristal, after all.
