“So good…sir.”
“I wasn’t sure what y’all would want for breakfast, so I’ve got fruit, croissants, pancakes with maple syrup and proper American bacon, but if you want something else, I can go make it. I’ve got coffee and OJ too.”
A weird feeling passed over me and I wasn’t sure how to explain it, so I did what I did best. “I need to leave. I’ve got a meeting.”
“No, you don’t. You’re running because you’re not used to people taking care of you. Sit, eat, or I’ll make your ass as red as Lea’s is.”
My skin prickled. “You wouldn’t dare.”
“Try me,Daddy.”
He handed me a plate, and I piled it up with food before handing it to Lea, and then I did the same for Fox, all the while Marshall’s eyes burned into mine. When he leaned down and filled a plate that he handed to me, I almost choked, trying to force out a thank you.
When I didn’t eat, he picked up a fork, loading it with pancake and bacon before feeding it to me. I took it willingly, not sure what to say, but when he whispered, “Good boy,” I struggled to suppress my feelings for this man who told us every day how straight he was.
“You ready for today, Sunshine?” I asked, trying to break away from Marshall’s attention.
“Yeah, actually, I am. Last night, you all coming with food, taking care of me and then, well… Marshall torturing me until I passed out and had the best sleep… it all helped. I’ve got this. Today we’re overseeing the setup and then tomorrow is when we’ll run through the cameras and lighting, making sure it’s all blocked properly, and check the after party is all set up.
“Can we help?” Fox asked.
“No, I’m good, but I appreciate all the support. You’re all the best. I mean it. I couldn’t have done this without your love and support.” She froze, realizing what she’d said. “I mean your help and support… I didn’t mean—”
Fox pressed his lips to hers, silencing her panic. “Shush. I love you and these guys have all sorts of feelings they keep locked up because they’re too afraid to admit them. Now eat, then shower, otherwise you’ll be late.”

Thesteamfromthebath filled the room and I let out a long sigh as my body sank into the water, the tension of the day easing. I wasn’t sure how long I’d been in there when I heard Dawson call out my name.
“In the bath,” I yelled, not sure if he’d hear me. A few minutes later, the door opened, and he stepped inside, leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets and his legs crossed at the ankles, like he planned on watching me for the rest of the night.
“How did it go, Sunshine?”
I shrugged. “I think we’re nearly there. I’m going to need a holiday by the time this is over, though. Fancy running off somewhere warm with me?”
“We’ll have to take Bunny and Muscles.”
I smiled. “I can think of worse things tohaveto do.”
“Well, we can talk about it later, but right now, you need to get out and get ready for dinner. Marshall and Fox will be back in about an hour.”
“You didn’t wait for them?” Usually, whoever was in the office all hung around for the rest of us so we could travel home together. It was rare for one of us to leave early. Dawson’s eyes darkened as he licked his lips.
“Honestly? I couldn’t stop thinking about you. I checked with Sophia and she told me you’d come home, so I thought I’d come and see you. Make sure you didn’t need anything.” His eyes filled with heat as he held out his hand.
I stepped out of the bath and he took a towel off the rail, wrapping it around me, before leaning in a pressing a quick kiss to the corner of my mouth. “It’s been a while since I had you all to myself.”
“Oh, yeah, and what are you going to do with me now you’ve got me all to yourself?” My voice was husky, my body suddenly throbbing in expectation.
Wrapping his fingers in mine, he led me through to our bedroom and pointed to the bed where I sat. “Get your mind out of the gutter, Sunshine. I’m just going to help you get ready.” He moved to the side of the room and picked up the fancy shopping bags that sat on the ottoman that hadn’t been there when I got home. “Marshall and I did a little shopping earlier.”
“Right…” I stared, confused, wondering if I’d misread the situation and Dawson wasn’t going to fuck me senseless while we had the house to ourselves.
He reached into one of the smaller ones and pulled out a tub of my favorite body cream that I’d ran out of a couple of weeks ago. He opened it and placed the lid on my dressing table before moving to stand in front of me. Without a word, he lifted my arm and began massaging the cream into my skin slowly, before moving the other one. He didn’t speak, nothing about his touch felt sexual, but I loved the contact and the attention from my closed off man.
Then he kneeled before me, rubbing cream into my foot before working it up my calf.
“I’ve never been with a woman for as long as we’ve been together.” He spoke quietly, as he lifted my other foot and began the process again. “Don’t get me wrong, I’ve slept with women… I’ve dated a few, but I’ve never wanted to have a relationship with a woman. In fact, I’ve never really had a relationship before.”
