"Hey, what’s wrong with my looks?" Cole says, pretending to be offended.

Heat rushes to my face as my mind paints a picture.

"Calm your ovaries woman," Brian growls. "Those two are not there yet."

"And how do you know that?" Amanda fires back.

Brian huffs. "They are still in theI fuck you everywherestage. When I arrived at his penthouse, I found them getting ready for another round of wild and free sex."

Amanda looks at us and remarks in a high-pitched tone, "Oh, holy shit, I'd forgotten you two were on your date." Liam shows his vocal abilities, and Nick groans and takes him from her.

"Sis, watch your language, please! My son isn't ready for those words yet."

We all laugh at Amanda's crimsoning cheeks. "Sorry," she susurrates to Nick, who chuckles and places a kiss on her forehead.

The door opens, and an older nurse comes in who raises a brow as she takes in the scene.

"Hmm, sorry guys, visiting hours are over, and only two people are allowed to visit Mrs. Brown at once. She and the baby need to rest. So time to go."

We all nod, and after saying our goodbyes, we leave. I talk with Amanda while Brian chats to Cole as we leave the hospital. Outside, Amanda stops me and asks, "So, how good was it before Brian barged in?"

I can't help but grin. "Marvelous. He surprised me with dinner on his balcony."

Amanda furrows her brow. "That's it?"

"Shh, let me finish," I cut in. "He converted his balcony into a goddamn private beach; The whole area was transformed with sand, two palm trees, a romantically laid out table, and a beautiful four-poster bed."

Amanda's mouth falls agape, and her eyes dart to Cole, who's standing a few feet away with Brian.

"Holy Christ, I might have focused on the wrong friend."

I slap Amanda's shoulder. "Your loss. He’s my man now."

Her smile blows up. "Your man, huh?"

With cheeks that burn at my clear revelation, I shrug, and Amanda whispers near my head. "Girl, you two are perfect for each other. I've known Cole for a long time; I love him like a brother. But he's been living on his private island for years—not letting anyone in—until you and Samantha barged into his life. You two have turned his life upside down, in the best way, and it was what he needed to start really living. Now, when I look at him, I see a more open and happier man than he has ever been before."

I wrap my arms around Amanda, and she hugs me back.

"And what about you and Brian?" I whisper. Amanda swallows, and when she lets go, I see a flash of raw emotions in her eyes when they fall on Brian.

"I don't know anymore. To be frank, I'm tired of waiting for him. One moment it's like he wants me more than anything, and the next, he pushes me away and closes off."

My heart aches at her unhappy appearance. She doesn't deserve this agony, so I grab her hand and squeeze. "Then, don't wait. It's time to show him you're done with his back and forth. I bet there are many men out there who would kill to go out on a date with you."

A faint smile appears, but it doesn't reach her eyes. "Yeah, you're right," she says with a huff.

"Hey, little Brownie, are you ready to go?" Brian yells.

I chuckle, hearing Brian's nickname for Amanda. Amanda rolls her eyes as we walk their way.

"Stop calling me that," she snarls, stopping in front of him. Brian's face sparkles with amusement.

"Brian Fox, wipe that smirk off your face, and let's go. You still need to fix my car. And these two," she states, pointing to Cole and me, "deserve to continue their date." She glances at Cole and smiles. "Thank you for showing me that true gentlemen still exist. Now I only have to find my own."

Cole places a kiss on Amanda's hand and chuckles at Brian's narrowing eyes as Amanda giggles at his action. We say goodbye, and she starts walking to Brian's bright blue Maserati.

"See you guys later," Brian yells as he sprints to catch up with Amanda. As I watch them take off, I huff.
