The sleepy voice of his mate had him turning and smiling at her. She was lying next to him, still naked from the two times he’d woken her up in the night to ravish her body.

“Brute. I have a video ice cream date with Little Bug at 4pm, which means it will probably be with all of Rock’s kids, since I’m sure he’s picking them all up from school.”

“Want me to make myself scarce?”

He frowned and shook his head. “No. They’ll have to meet Aunt Stiletto, eventually.” Then he shrugged. “Say hi if you want, then you can leave me to talk to them. But I don’t want you to pretend not to be here.”

The smile she gave told him he gave the right answer. “Okay.”

“I was supposed to do this weeks ago, but I forgot.”

She tsked. “Sounds like you’re going to have to make it up to Little Bug, Uncle T.”

He chuckled. “Yup. And I promise she won’t forget to remind me, either. I’ll take her out to dinner and let her dress up. She’ll love it.” He set his phone on the nightstand and laid back down with her.

“You’re a good uncle,” she said and snuggled into his side.

Wrapping his arms around her, he pulled her closer. “Thanks. They mean everything to me.” Closing his eyes, he pressed his lips to the top of her head. “So do you.”

“Same.” She kissed his chest and yawned. “Nap?”

“Great idea.”

Trick’s phone rang at 4pm on the dot. Sitting on the second step of the front porch, he accepted the video chat and smiled when the sweetest four faces he’d ever seen filled the screen, all of them trying their best to see him.

“Hey, troublemakers.”

They all started talking at once, then he saw Brute’s face and heard Brute say, “One at a time. You’ll all get your turn, I promise. Miles, you first.”

Then Miles’s face was on the phone screen, grinning at Trick. “Hey, Uncle T. How are ya doing?”

“I’m good, Miles. How’s school?”

“Good. I’m trying out for the football team. Dad said I’ll be good at it, but it takes hard work.”

Trick nodded, his heart clenching with happiness as Diamond’s son called Rock Dad. Diamond’s son and daughter may not be Rock’s biological kids, but they sure as hell were just as important and loved as Mia and Hunter.

“You’ll be great at it. As fast as you are? Get out of here. You’ll rock it on that field.”

Miles beamed at him. “Thanks. Hunter wants to talk now.”

“Okay. Bye, Bud.”

Hunter took the phone and smiled at him. “Hey. You’ve been gone for like forever.”

Trick chuckled. “I know. I’ll be home soon enough.”

He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked up to see Stiletto standing there with a bowl of ice cream in her hand. She handed it to him and bent down to give him a kiss. After she pulled back, he winked at her. “Thank you.”

“Whoa. Uncle T, who is that? She’s…” His voice dropped to practically a whisper. “She’s hot.”

Holding back his chuckle, he shot his nephew a fake glare. “That’s my mate, boy. Watch yourself.”

“Aw, man.” The kid looked so defeated. “That means she’s my aunt, doesn’t it?”

“Yeah. You got a problem with that?”

“Besides the fact that my uncles keep snagging all the pretty girls? No.”
