Absolutely not.
I can’t deny that the money was a huge temptation, it was probably one of the leading reasons, especially with Scott’s new stakes.
Rubbing my hands over my face, I notice a slight sweat lining my skin.
I head over to my locker and pull out some fresh clothing, prepared to clean myself up. My phone has two missed calls from Reed and a text message letting me know to meet at his house later as Harrison will be there.
When Reed told me that Harrison was indeed his brother, it threw a curve-ball. Harrison is sweet, charming and adorable. Reed on the other hand, he is arrogant, reserved and so damn tempting.
Thinking about it, they do have some similar features but the main difference is the darkness that comes with Reed, the forbidding atmosphere that makes him so captivating that you want to dive blindly into his abyss of sin and destruction.
He makes me want to act reckless, he provokes an animalistic need that I didn’t even know I had, the pull between us is so forceful that I can’t resist.
Harrison is different. We’ve barely met but the instant effect he had on me turned me into a deer in headlights. I’m attracted to him immensely, he is exactly the type of guy that I would date. He is wholesome and tempts me in a good way, like a candied apple. A forsaken guilty pleasure but serves a purpose greater than the initial outburst of sweetness.
In less than an hour, I must face them both, in the same room. I can only see one way how this is going to end.
Can you ever have night and day at the same time?
With a sigh, I retreat to the bathroom to take a shower and mentally prepare for it.
I knock twice, my hair is still damp and loose, the air giving it a wavy appearance. I hear footsteps and Reed opens the door, his smile is dazzling under the lights, as does his blue eyes.
“Hey.” He props himself against the door frame, folding his arms over his chest.
Blushing, I look to my feet, the memories of last night clouding my brain at the sight of him. I feel exposed and timid, I can’t believe we had sex four times last night. By the time I peer back up at him, he’s biting his lip and giving me a lazy side grin.
So, it’s on his mind too?
“Well hello there, my pretty girl.” A voice nears.
My gaze switches to Harrison, he looks like a different person outside of his suit attire. He’s wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of gym shorts, his hair is spiked in different places, but he looks fresh.
Reed rolls his eyes and steps inside, beckoning for me to come in. I drop my duffel bag in the corridor and grip the wall whilst I take my shoes off, my feet are particularly sore from today’s session, I hope Willow’s aren’t too bad.
“Where’s Willow?” I ask, walking into the kitchen.
“She’s out with Bridget, they’ll be back later.”
Harrison sits on a bar stool on one side of the island, whilst Reed stands awkwardly next to the side of the island where he fucked me senseless last night.
I can feel the heat burning in my cheeks once again. I can’t explain the person that I become with Reed, I’ve never acted so promiscuous before.
Feeling Harrison’s eyes on me, I don’t dare to look at him fully, knowing what he’s here for.
“Well, I’m just glad to see you’ve managed to survive another day.” Harrison smirks, drawing laughter from my throat.
Reed shoots a pointed, confused look at Harrison.
“Harrison… kind of saved my life.” I thin my lips into a tight line as I gesture to Harrison.
“Please, call me Harry.” I swallow and nod, he suits Harry more.
Reed flicks his gaze between me and Harry and offers a small thanks to him.
“Let’s get down to business.” Reed changes the subject, not wanting to hear anything personal between me and his brother.
We follow him into the lounge as Harry retrieves a thick document from his backpack, bringing it over to the coffee table. Reed flicks on the lamp for better lighting and we crowd around, Harry opposite and Reed next to me on the couch.
