“Xandra, baby. Can you hear me?”

“Meow.”

What the fuck happened?

I’m attempting to remember when did I come over to Wyatt’s place?

Or when did he mention having a kitty?

“I should have come with her to get bandaged up,” Wyatt emphasizes. “Why the hell is she in your place?”

“Office didn’t have a first aid kit.”

The deep rumble of Oscar’s voice makes my heart skip as a wave of anxiety begins to bottle in the pit of my stomach.

Wait a minute.

I have to be hallucinating.

Wyatt and Armani in the same room?

“Meow!”

With a random kitty?

“And since when do you own a cat?”

“She’s a stray,” Oscar comments dryly. “Snuck into my house through the window and hasn’t left since.”

“We’re on the top floor.”

“I’m well aware of that, Cyrus.”

Wyatt sighs. “Xandra doesn’t handle the sight of blood well. She also has anemia which makes her have dizzy and fainting spells from time to time. I knew from how pale she suddenly got, she could potentially pass out, but Jayce wouldn’t let me fucking leave.”

“Typical,” Oscar mutters. “How did you get out?”

“Your call had me racing out of the room before anyone could stop me.”

“How are you going to defend yourself with that one, Equipment Manager?” Oscar inquires.

“Medical emergency in the building,” he states firmly before something gently brushes my cheek. “If she doesn’t wake up soon, I’ll have to take her home.”

I tense up at the mention of ‘home,’ yet I’m not 100% ready to wake up yet. I don’t feel ready to face Wyatt here with Armani in the picture. I don’t know why the thought of both of them being here leaves me feeling uneasy. It’s not like they’re competition or anything.

“Do you even know where she lives?”

I brace for Wyatt’s reply, not knowing what was shared when I was obviously unconscious.

Please don’t tell me he told him I live here.

“In all honesty, I don’t know,” he quietly admits. “She doesn’t like sharing details revolving around where she lives or her family. I don’t really blame her, but it’s times like these where it worries me. Her aunt is a bitch.”
