He slapped my ass.

Literally slapped my ass, knowing Wyatt, Oliver, Leo, and even Caren could hear and probably see us.

“Keep talking and I’ll give you something to miss that doubles as a silencer.”

“Damn,” Leo comments with a whistle. “Hey, MackJrChicken, when did you start dating Armani?”

“They’re NOT dating,” I hear Wyatt call out.

Oliver actually chuckles. “Don’t look that way to me.”

“HELLO?! Glass on the floor. Broken Panel? Is ANYONE gonna do something here?!” Caren screeches.

“Cyrus. Can you get the broom and vacuum? We’ll get this cleaned,” Leo insists. “Oliver will deal with calling the insurance company to replace the panel.”

“And the other five things I pointed out that are broken?” Caren emphasizes.

“We’ll have to do our own review of the damages, but it’ll take time. We probably have to switch you to a different suite, but all of them are full in this building.”

“What? Where do you want me to stay? It’s my internship. I need to be on-site at all times.”

I can’t focus on their conversation any longer because Armani has me in the suite bathroom and lowering me onto the counter.

“Armani,” I hiss. “I’m fine.”

All he needs to do is give me a look. One single look shuts me up faster than me being hungry and offered chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce.

Neither of us says a single word as he locates the first aid kit in the bottom drawer and gets the materials to not only remove the glass but bandage me up. I observe it all, noticing how precise and tender he is with his touch.I’m even impressed that I’m not feeling queasy or on the verge of passing out.

Watching him is actually relaxing, enough that I don’t catch myself dozing off until my forehead is resting against his shoulder.

“Andrews,” Armani quietly mutters as if he doesn’t want to wake me up.

“Did she pass out?” I hear Oliver’s question.

I thought Wyatt would be here instead.

“I think she dosed off,” Armani admits. “I know she hates blood, but it’s not like she fainted.”

“You make it seem like you’ve watched her pass out firsthand,” Oliver mumbles.

“I have,” Armani admits.

“So, you two are dating.”

“No.”

“Because of Cyrus?”

“If you think Cyrus is someone who’d stop me from getting what I want, you don’t know me well enough.”

Oliver chuckles. “Sent him fuming to dispose of the glass in the downstairs dumpster.

“Savage,” Armani grunts. “The panel didn’t fall, did it?”

“Nope.”

“She knows?”
