I’m tempted to awaken that side and enjoy the wild euphoria he hides so flawlessly.
Can I really take this slow when I’ve wanted this all along?
Would it be weird to jump into this so quickly?
I won’t know until Maddox is in the picture, and I can ask him myself.
Damien breaks the kiss and lightly tugs my bottom lip.
“Fuck, Jagiya,” he whispers. “Your lips are divine.”
His admission has me blushing, but I quickly mutter, “Puck.”
That has him chuckling.
“Puck,” he corrects himself with an added wink.
When he releases me, I glance back to confirm Jayce is gone.
“Aren’t you scared he’ll use that footage against us?” I ask.
“He didn’t take a photo,” Damien admits with a shrug.
“You wouldn’t care if he did,” I counter.
He smiles again while he slips his hands into his pockets.
“I wouldn’t.”
“Why?” I don’t get it. “Doesn’t it put you at risk?
“How is it risky when I’m the one who can determine what’s risky or not?” He counters. “My love life is mine alone. As long as I’m happy, I don’t care about anyone else’s opinion of my lifestyle.”
“But your parents?” I offer. “You’re Korean. I thought… well, isn’t it against your beliefs?”
“Korean, yes, but remember, I was raised here in Canada and in Russia. Doesn’t discount my times in Korea, but my parents aren’t super strict in that department.” He shrugs again. “They know I’m gay.”
“They… know?” I hiss and I’m in front of him in a second before looking around. “Damien! You can’t say that so loudly. What if someone hears you?”
“Don’t care.” He really doesn’t. “I guess this culture would call me bisexual since I like boys and girls. Either way, I really don’t care, Jagiya, so you shouldn’t worry about what other people think.”
“But… what if the organization finds out?”
“I’ll sign a stupid form.” He moves his hands out from his pockets to flick it. “Who cares?”
“B-B-But.” I’m just flabbergasted by his casual ‘I don’t give a fuck’ attitude. Damien wasn’t always like this, not when we were younger. “Y-You can’t sign a form! Maddox signed a form.”
“So why can’t I?” Damien’s on the verge of laughing.
“B-Because the form is signed!”
“There’s more than one form, Jagiya,” Now he’s really going to burst out laughing. “They photocopy new ones.”
“No!” I groan and poke his chest, making him laugh.“You know that’s not what I mean.”
“Ye Ye.” He brushes me off with his Korean before he pulls me into a hug. “You look tired, Jagiya.”
I want to go back to the form thing but God, being in his arms now that we’re alone again is comforting.
