But he just kissed Ace.

Where does that leave me?

I like… Maddox and Mikayla… but then does that mean I like Ace and Damien that way?

Just the thought is driving my brain insane, yet I can’t figure it out.

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with me.

“Wolfgang?”

I blink out of my thoughts to see Maddox staring at me with Mishka in his arms. I’m not sure if she’s asleep with how she’s resting her head against his shoulder, but I doubt anything frisky will happen tonight.

“You coming?”

“Uh, yeah,” I begin and look around. “Go ahead. I’ll clean up since I’m the least high.”

“I’m not high,” Ace argues, but Damien just sighs and takes his hand. “If you trip in three steps, you’re high as fuck.”

“I’m not going to—” Poor guy doesn’t finish before he’s on the ground. “Daddy, you let me fall!”

“I need proof that you’re a disobedient fool when high and drunk,” Damien concludes but helps him up. “Now lean on me and follow Maddox and Jagiya.”

“Mickey, wait for me,” Ace calls out.

“She’s asleep, dummy,” Maddox teases.

I watch the four of them walk down the hill we’ve been chilling on and into the lit house, leaving me to my thoughts that are spiraling with too much unnecessary shit.

“Fuck,” I curse and sit back down on the grass. With a sigh, I lean back until I’m spread out on the grassy surface.

Staring up at the sky, I admire the stars for a long time before my phone pings.

That specific ping.

Biting my bottom lip, Ipull out my phone.

The notification on the screen makes my heart skip a few beats. I force myself to swipe up and unlock my phone, the list of text messages taunting my screen.

XXX: “Yo, freak. You keep ignoring my warning signs.”

XXX: “You just want something bad to happen to your shining star, don’t you?”

XXX: “You think all is well because you’re back with your Queen?”

XXX: “Because she chose your side.”

XXX: “Wait till she finds out you rather fuck ass than pussy.”

XXX: “She’ll humiliate you.”

XXX: “Maybe before I do.”

Taking a few breaths, I try to ignore the way my hovering hand shivers in response to all of this shit.

The same unknown text messages.

The ones that threaten to ruin me.
