He didn’t need to tell me twice. I’d been craving his blood. I bent down toward his neck, my fangs popping out and piercing his skin. I moaned in delight as his sweet, rich, and spicy blood fell on my tongue.
My blood might taste like sunshine to him, but his tasted like nectar and power. As I drank, the Vampire God’s energy poured into me like a tsunami.
A sound of pure male satisfaction rumbled in his chest. The vampire felt damn good about himself for providing for me and protecting me. He was a good male.
His eyes turning deep sapphire, Marlowe pounded into me brutally while I fed. His thrusts had been fierce, but now every thrust reached a new high, if that was even possible. The vampire could be full of surprises when he was properly motivated.
I drank from him deeply until I felt his blood purge every trace of the black spell the horseman of war had implanted in me. The Vampire God’s blood was that powerful!
My desire for my mate swelled within me, and I heaved up my hips to ride him vehemently. My inner walls clamped down on his massive, hard cock, demanding his devotion, even though he’d already given it to me. But my needy cunt was still greedy, as it was in my nature to dominate as well.
Marlowe fucked me with the same fever, testing my limits.
The pleasure was so raw and wild and divine, building until I couldn’t take it anymore and screamed Marlowe’s name as the orgasm pulled me under like a rip tide. My mate roared as he emptied his bountiful cum in me.
My pussy kept milking him mercilessly, and he kept riding my waves of climax.
Our mating bond radiated brightly. My power well was full to the brim. The cuffs on my wrists shattered to pieces without me even lifting a finger.
“Well done, sugar,” I purred. “You’ll definitely get a bonus.”
CHAPTER 21
When Marlowe kicked the door down and we stepped outside, I was still grinning at him.
I’d been tossed into this black room naked, but I stepped out with a leather combat outfit. Marlowe had hired a good butler. Maybe I’d talk to him about giving Mouse a raise, if our budget allowed.
I scanned the hallway on both sides.
Several dead dark mages littered the ground. I kicked away a dead witch’s body that blocked my way and ran to hug Bangs.
“Ladies and gents, thanks for coming.” I grinned at everyone and jerked a thumb at Marlowe behind me. “Me and my sidekick are going to lead the charge and kick some asses. Who’s with me?”
Fairy rolled her eyes at me, and Snow White, the ivory-winged vampire, stared at me from the end of the hallway. There were a few scorch spots on his wings, and some feathers were obviously missing. Our team hadn’t been unscathed when battling the dark mages to get to me.
I appreciated it. I owed so many people debts. I just hoped that they weren’t keeping score.
“The enemies besieged the tower,” said Musketeer, the steward. “Our ground scouts have spotted the horseman heading this way. His army outnumbers ours ten to one, even with the shifter rebel force joining us.”
“Where’s Shade?” I asked. “The horseman has taken over the Alpha King and issued a kill order on the prince.”
“He’s leading the rebels,” Freckles said. “He wanted to come with us to the tower, but Commander Jay and I convinced him that he’d be of more use leading his men.”
“What about Commander Going-gray?” I asked. I owed him a life-debt now.
“He joined Prince Shade,” Freckles said. “He betrayed his Alpha King for you. If he stayed, he’d be executed.”
“We’re trapped in the tower,” Smooth said, pushing up his gilded glasses. “Our best bet is for King Nyström and Queen Pip to combine forces to go against the horseman. Once they cut off the head of the snake, the enemy force will be shattered.”
“Like the Lord of the Rings,” I chimed in. “When the ring—”
Marlowe gave me a look and held my hand firmly in his. “We’ll fight him here.”
My spirit allies chose this moment to bombard me in my head with all they’d learned about the current situation. They’d joined me as soon as I stepped out of the warded room.
Marlowe grasped my shoulders with his hands protectively, seeing the grimace on my face as I listened to the spirits. “Have no fear, Sunshine. I won’t allow him to get his fucking hands on you again.”
“The spirits are talking to her.” Freckles chuckled softly. “Pip has made the connection to the dead.”
