I let out a breath. I lean down, still gripping my dick, lining the tip up with her wet, slick, pulsing pussy. She feels so soft, so wet, so much like home. As both of us just stare for a second...
Bang. Bang. Bang.
“Steel, you in there? Steel, open up!”
“Fuck, it’s Ares!” I whisper. “Brother, I’m busy. What do you want?”
“Dice just spotted Shay's car in Ravenswood. We’re going after her now!”
“Fuck, I’m coming!” I sigh.
Breathing out a shaky breath, Ray laughs. “At least one of us is!”
I grin at her and kiss her again. “I won’t be long!”
“I’m coming too!”
Of course, she is! I laugh as she pushes me off her, grabs her clothes, throws them on, stuffs her knife in her boot, and runs out the door to the bar.
She's in her ripped jeans and hoodie, and she goes to throw herself on the back of my bike when Ares shouts, “Ray? No, I need you to stay here!”
“Fuck that. I’m gonna kill that bitch!” she barks at him.
“She’s heading this way, Ray. I don't have time. I need you to protect Scar. No one else will do it like you, Ray. If we find her, I will bring her back, but please, I need you to keep her safe for me!”
Ray yells, “Fuck!” at no one in particular, and she nods. “Go quick, find that bitch, and drag her back here!”
With that, we shoot out with a rumble of bikes.
Ray
I run back to the clubhouse. I need to get to Scar. Trying the handle on Ares’s door, it’s locked, so I bang on it.
“Scar, it’s me. Let me in!”
Bang, bang.
“Scar, come on! Fuck!”
Backing up a step, I kick the door in, and it swings back, dinting the plaster. I take in the room. There’s no one here. I rush to the bathroom. Nothing.
“Fuck, Scar!” I bellow out, and I storm back out into the hallway. “Think!”
Pausing, I quiet myself, taking steady breaths, closing my eyes and listening. That’s when I hear it, the slight creak of a door blowing in the wind. Someone hasn’t closed the back door properly. I slide out of it, unable to see anything as it’s dark, darker than dark. I step around the building. Everything’s silent. There, I hear a raven, its short, repeated, shrill calls echoing through the woods. I head in that direction.
I grew up around ravens and know this sound is made when trespassers are near, so they’ve been disturbed. Sticking to the trees, I run fast and as silently as possible. I get past the barn before hearing a twig break and a scuffle. We’re heading towards the lodges now, so I power on. I need to get around them and surprise whoever has Scar. I grab a handful of pebbles, stuffing them in my hoodie pocket, before diving back into the trees. I’m getting closer. Scar’s putting up a fight, trying to stop herself from being dragged.
I speed past them in the trees while they’re on the path. As I come around, I throw a stone in the direction I have just come from, and the man who’s dragging her stops. I throw one to the side of him, and he spins again, grasping Scar in front of him and holding her against his body. I throw two, this time in opposite directions, and as he glances around, I step out behind him and put my back to the tree, bending my leg and placing my foot on it behind me.
I have my knife. I mean, fuck, I can remember my knife but never think to pick up my bloody phone. Pulling my knife out and picking at my nails, I say, “They won’t come out until I say!”
“Fuck!” He spins round and faces me, holding Scar against himself between us.
“You're surrounded, so it’s gonna go like this: you’re gonna let my sister go, and I won’t kill you!”
“Fuck you!”
“Chill, there's no need to be aggressive. Shay’s not coming for you!”
