“And right here?”

“The kitchen island.”

Wolfe nods. “And where I told you I still love you.”

His hands go to my face, tracing every line and thumbing my lips and jawline.

“I told you I was never your enemy. You were the love I lost and thought I could never have for so long.”

His knees start to shake and it looks like he’s going to fall but, in fact, he goes to his knees on purpose. His eyes are wet when they rise to mine again. Around us the Savages come to stand in the ashes of what used to be their home. Riot, Dragon. Their women. Harlon, Cassius and Santi are here too. Nyx, his sister and her men. Everyone wanted to come and see what was left of the compound.

“Wolfe?” My voice is shaky and the tears in his eyes force mine to grow moist.

“I kneel in the ashes of the destruction our past brought into the lives of everyone we love and think of as family. I never gave up hunting for you and now that I have you I want to make you mine.”

I drop to my knees in front of him and wrap my arms around his neck. Since the day he stormed into my bedroom and turned my new life upside down it’s been nothing short of raging chaos on the path to justice. He was a thief and stole my heart like a sinner.

“The night we lost each other, you told me something but I couldn’t hear what it was. What did you say? I dreamed about it so many times but I never could make out the words.”

He brushes my hair to the side and lowers his lips to mine. “I said hold onto my love. Live for it. I will find you.”

I wrap my fingers around his thick wrists. Our connection thrives in our rediscovered love. “And you found me.”

“Marry me, Avery. You brought me back to life with your love. I can’t go on without knowing I belong to you and you belong to me.”

Avery? God, this man!“Yes! Wolfe Carter I will marry you!” I can’t make out his face for all the tears in my eyes.

“Harlon, brother. Do you have it?”

“You’ve planned this for a while?”

Harlon places a gold band into Wolfe’s hand and steps back. His smile is gentle for me but I recognize the darkness in his eyes. His pain is real, and it breaks my heart to see him suffering. Club Genesis took a heavy beating from my mother’s enforcers and Silas’ men. It will take months for it to be reinstated to its former beauty. On the other front, his feelings for Polaris are real, and I know the fight against the Society keeps him from her. Santi and Cassius, too. I can’t help but wonder about the rings on their fingers, too. My heart goes out to them. I can only hope and pray they will find their way to love like I have.

“I’ve had this since that night. I had every intention of proposing to you. I got a bit delayed.”

“A little.”

I hold my hand up and love the feel of the warm gold slipping over my ring finger. It’s a full circle and symbolizes our journey.

Cheers ring out among the crowd. We stand and just in time to see a SUV pull up the Savage drive.

Ares steps out and helps Nova out of the car. They join us, carrying a tiny bundle of pink. Little Dragon is smitten instantly and vows to be her best friend. This moment could not be any better. Hugs go around and everyone is smiling and happy. No matter what life has thrown at everyone, we have all pulled through and found where we belong. The Savages are villains to some, but heroes to us. The lines between right and wrong are never black and white. These men have stepped into the shadows to save those who can’t save themselves. They are my brothers as much as they are Wolfe’s. And the women who love them are my sisters.

I pull Wolfe off to the side and whisper in his ear. “What do we do now?”

“Rebuild, baby.” I place a hand over my quivering stomach and breathe in heavily to help ease the sudden nausea. I am not good with a hammer or saw. At all.

“You okay?”

I try to hide a smile but fail. “Umm…you sure you want me near a nail gun again?”

“God, no!”

His laugh warms me to the core. “All kidding aside though, it’s a lot all at once, ya know? I still need to find a place to live in the meantime. Unless you want a hammock under the stars.”

Wolfe’s grin turns cocky. “I’ve already secured a safe location.” He dangles a set of keys in front of me. “Babies can’t be made in hammocks and I need you alone in a room where no one can hear you scream.”

I’m in a pair of arms and they flex around me. Lips claim mine and the last thing I remember before my Wolfe sends me into a tailspin of desire is…I love this man with all my soul.
